I personally wanted to write to show my gratitude to Lisa Atkinson. Lisa started this legal battle journey with me for 5 years now and I am ever so grateful to have had her dealing with this high level clinical negligence case. I personally believe the success of this settlement was down to having competent and highly skilled solicitors like Lisa who are knowledgeable in their legal profession. From the very beginning Lisa was communicating every single part of this case, from legal aid, reports from the experts, appointments scheduled etc. she has fantastic communication skills, she is very professional providing clear advice on all aspects of the case. Her commitment and dedication is commendable, her knowledge on every aspect of this case especially the expert reports was phenomenal, Lisa does not miss one bit of what the reports say, she is so clear and concise when she delivers updates. As we all know the main man Mr Peter Dugdale is a very reputable and honourable solicitor and personally without a doubt I believe he is one of the best in his expertise. As he was always busy in the background fighting for us, he had one amazing colleague Lisa who ensured this case was running smoothly and ensured I was kept up to date of developments in the case. In my personal experience I do not think I have come across a person who is actually this passionate and takes pride in the work she carries out. I know I could contact her several times in a day without hesitation and she will always greet me on the phone with the most friendly cheerful voice, and to see that was amazing. This was one of the hardest battles of our life and I did not give up because I had a team of solicitors and barrister who were the best in their field and no matter how many ups and downs we had in this case, these amazing solicitors did not give up without a fight especially Peter and Lisa and not forgetting the honourable Michael Redfern who knew we would get a settlement. I could be here writing for all of them individually but today is purely to show my appreciation of Lisa. Lisa kept me fully up to date of all the updates in the case and if she says I will report back to you on this day with an update I ensure you she would do exactly that. In my time I have come across many solicitors but to find a gem of a person like Lisa who is so passionate, focused, dedicated, committed and highly skilled are rare qualities to find in one person.
