This covers advising employers, businesses and service providers on duties under the Equality Act 2010 about disability, reasonable adjustments and accessibility, and acting for claimants and respondents in disability-discrimination, sickness-absence and capability disputes. Solicitors draft adjustment and accessibility policies, negotiate settlement agreements, prepare medical and occupational-health evidence, handle early conciliation through ACAS, issue or defend Employment Tribunal claims and pursue civil remedies for discrimination in goods, services or premises. Investigations and occupational-health reports commonly shape case strategy.

“My need for a solicitor was for relatively straight forward employment legal advice. Shazia showed she had lots of experience and knowledge that was both simple to understand, with clarity and raised important points. I dont think I could have got a better outcome tbh. The main area I want to praise the team for was the fact I am someone with Neurodivergence and suffer greatly with Anxiety. For anybody that suffers with either of those things understands just how intimidating and scary the world can feel, let alone needing to get a solicitor. But Shazia and those that assisted her were accommodating to my needs, none-judgemental and showed understanding. My initial contact was with Leah the support assistant, she was friendly, patient and gave me a lot of information, answering my questions, putting me at ease, without making me feel pressured into anything. If not for her I would never have got past the first stage. Then as it progressed and I interacted with Shazia, she continued that on, plus added to that with her knowledge and experience. Highly recommended.”

“My son and I were fortunate enough to have Ness allocated to us to represent my son (28) who has a complex learning disability. The challenge was surrounding my son’s capacity to understand the legal process and if he had from the beginning. As a parent I had challenged the police and stated he did not have capacity in complex information or decision making. Ness recognised that my son has a significant impairment and questioned if he should have been interviewed at all. This insight has halted/stopped a process which should have been picked up sooner. Ness saw a person beyond the process and the appropriate outcome happened on the day. ”
