In April, we found ourselves involved in family proceedings following a minor argument between my partner and my daughter’s father, after which my daughter was retained and a number of serious allegations were made against both myself and my partner of eight years. Having looked at the many family solicitors available in the Hull area, we chose Kingston Family Law after reading reviews from other families who had found themselves in similar situations. We believe we made an excellent choice. We were allocated Ryan Revell to deal with our case, and he was fantastic throughout. He clearly explained the court process, what was required from us and the strategy for our case in a way that was easy to understand without being bogged down in legal jargon. Throughout the proceedings, Ryan kept our expectations realistic and, importantly, kept our focus on my daughter and what was best for her. He was organised, well prepared and productive throughout. Our case took around six months to conclude, and ultimately we achieved the result we wanted. Ryan did an excellent job communicating with professionals from ERYC, Cafcass and my daughter’s school, ensuring they had the information they needed to complete their reports and assessments. Anyone requiring the services of a solicitor should be prepared for a significant bill. However, I believe Ryan did his utmost to keep our costs as low as reasonably possible. He listened and communicated effectively, which reduced the need for us to repeatedly ask for clarification, and the court documents he produced were generally ready to go without unnecessary reworking. Kingston Family Law may not be the cheapest family solicitors in Hull, nor are they the most expensive, but we believe we received exceptional service for what we paid. While we feel the proceedings themselves were completely unnecessary and should never have happened, we are incredibly thankful for the support we received throughout them. Jelena proved herself to be an exemplary human being. She witnessed me in different ways of emotion and, female to female was most understanding and empathetic (although I'm perfectly sure she treats everyone equally). Very thorough and professional and a very genuine lady. She really felt for me, I could tell. A very relatable lady, no matter who you are/your background etc. etc. I recommend her to anyone and everyone and feel exceedingly lucky to have had her as my Solicitor. I came to Emma King and her team during a bitter separation battle with my ex after reading some reviews which kept indicating her as one of, if not, thee best in the business in the Greater Glasgow area. Emma was quick and informative without drowning me in legal jargon. Within the first appointment she was quick to point out my house was indeed mine and the ex had no claim due requirements met under Scots law, huge relief. As time went on (due to my ex's lawyer dragging their heels) her role within the company changed and my case was passed to her understudy Craig Chisholm, a young lawyer and even with my initial reservations at first, as I wanted the most experience possible, it did not take long to see Craig was no less competent but in fact very good at his job, very keen and hungry. I then had the best of both worlds, a young hungry lawyer dealing with my case with a very experienced one overseeing it all. Communication was excellent throughout, all correspondence was followed up with a phone call and/or email. Even when there was nothing coming from the 'other side' Craig was constantly chasing and pushing for a response. Hopefully I will never need their services again in that capacity however should I, then I would definitely use them again, 100%. Although there are lawyers who will charge less, in my opinion you get what you pay for, if you want the best you have to pay for the best and as far as I am concerned that IS Emma, Craig and the team at Complete Clarity
