This work covers buying a property in England by two people who jointly take ownership. A solicitor handles the conveyancing, checks the contract and title, arranges mortgage conditions, coordinates with the lender, and registers the transfer at the Land Registry. They advise on how the property will be held (for example, in most cases as either tenants in common or joint tenants) and prepare the necessary deed of transfer and any in-principle arrangements.
“We used Tozers based on a recommendation from an estate agent, and our experience was fantastic!
They were thorough, fast and professional which we needed when going for our very first mortgage and home. Though there were a few hiccups along the way that had us stressing no end, Mark & Sarah pulled through with their speed and efficiency as well as their patience with us and our ever changing moods throughout the process!
My only constructive feedback is that, although communication was quick via email (and I mean, they would reply within half an hour every time), a phonecall here and there would have been somewhat easier for some of the more confusing and difficult elements of the process where tone and meaning can be misunderstood, but whenever we requested a callback, one would always be arranged for the same day so I’m not marking them down for it because the phonecalls were always informative and easier to handle when they happened.
We will use Tozers again because I believe they leave no stone unturned and the clarity we know they will provide for our next home purchase is what we seek. And we will further advise others looking to purchase to use Tozers too.
Thank you Mark, Sarah and the rest of the team that assisted in our purchase!

“We were first time buyers and felt very out of our depth, Kirsty and her team were fantastic from start to finish. Our vendor made the process very difficult but Kirsty did everything she could and pushed to get us completed on our deadline. I couldn't recommend them enough!”

“I was after some information as to where I stand as a home owner who has split from the babies mum.
Was told despite being a parent I am still owed 50% of the equity from the property ”

“Peter Smith was fantastic in helping my partner and I buy our first home. He was extremely friendly, made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We felt well supported throughout and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others in the future.”

“We were recommended Amicus Law by our Estate Agent Greenslade Taylor Hunt. We decided to go ahead as the Junction 24 Market office was very convenient for us living nearby.
Throughout the process Emily has been outstanding, always available and quick to offer sound legal advice. It was great we could drop into Junction 24 office to collect and sign documents. The reception staff were always helpful and polite.
During our move Emily was relocated to the Taunton office and again when visiting the Taunton reception, staff were great with easy access near St Marys Church Taunton.
We completed the sale and purchase in 90 days! The average time for move home in the South West is 233 days. The speed of our completion shows what that Amicus Law is great company to choose for any of your legal requirements.
Jasmine helped us throughout our journey and understood how stressful the process can be particularly on completion day. We had a large chain and we were extremely concerned that there could be a last minute issue or problem.
We have just received a lovely New Home card from Emily and Jasmine which was a wonderful gesture.
Thank you Amicus Law but in particular Emily and Jasmine for getting us into our dream Home.
We highly recommend Amicus Law for all your Legal affairs

“I arranged to speak to Andrew Campbell to discuss an on-going domestic issue linked to a property. Throughout the meeting Andrew was attentive, made sure he fully understood the situation, and my concerns, while providing a detailed breakdown of options available to me. At no time did I feel pushed into a course of action. Overall the service I recieved was excellent.”

“My partner and I used Bright for purchasing a house. We haven't been through the conveyancing process before, and have also never instructed solicitors. Adam Tozer and his team (Lauren Pascoe and Katy Braithwaite) were professional, efficient and friendly throughout. They were easily contactable. The process felt straightforward. If Adam was away, a member of the team would seamlessly pick up from where we left off so there were no unnecessary delays. Overall, our experience was positive and we would recommend using Bright. ”

“We can not thank the amazing team at Howard and Over enough for all their help with our sale and Purchase.
Danielle and Neil worked tirelessly to ensure that our sale and purchase went through smoothly. We were selling a shared ownership property which is not a straight forward process, But both Danielle and Neil couldn’t have been more helpful and proactive. The whole team were quick to answer queries and nothing was ever too much for them. They kept us informed and up to date every step of the way.
We completed both the purchase and sale on the same day and it was seamless for us which is a credit to them as I know there were delays in the background but they were sorted quickly by Danielle who was on the ball every step of the way.
Would recommend them both and the wider team. They are efficient and friendly, and their communication was excellent. I am one of those who likes to know what’s going on and they were always happy to update me.
They are a credit to their profession.”
