Top 10 of 4,694 law firms for Buying & Selling Homes, Housing & Property

Law firms ranked by client reviews

Buying a home in England and Wales typically means conveyancing work: checking title, agreeing terms, and handling the transfer of ownership when you buy or sell a property. A solicitor drafts and negotiates the contract, conducts searches, arranges mortgage or cash completion, and handles stamp duty land tax, the transfer deed, and registration at HM Land Registry. They also liaise with the seller’s solicitor, lenders, and local authorities, and resolve any title or boundary issues that arise during the transaction.

Laura Anne Owens

Tagged solicitor Laura Anne Owens

For anyone looking for a Solicitor for Conveyancing, I cannot recommend Laura Owens highly enough! She is absolutely brilliant! I used her services for a property purchase in Central London. She is thorough, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, experienced, efficient, responsive, and always had my best interests in the matter. Despite issues with the Sellers, their Estate Agents, and even their Solicitor at times, she was persistent in ironing out all the details and getting the transaction across the line. I would have walked away from this deal if not for her intervention, and her support throughout the process. I will be recommending her to anyone who asks, and will be using her again in the future if I buy another property.
