If only I’d bothered to read the reviews first! But no, silly me—I trusted my home insurer, who generously pointed me in the direction of this absolute powerhouse of incompetence. I’m now blissfully stuck with a company whose customer service skills are a pure myth. Their "state-of-the-art" customer portal is essentially a black hole where messages go to die, and trying to reach my assigned Claims Agent directly is a fantastic exercise in speaking to brick walls. Do I have a clue what’s happening with my claim? Has anyone even opened the file? Is it being processed, or was it thrown directly into a shredder? Who knows! The suspense is truly thrilling. If you're thinking of using them, by all means, think twice, think three times, and then do literally anything else with your life

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Lyons Davidson. Since instructing them on a personal injury claim several months ago, communication has been very poor. After an initial period of activity, updates have been almost non-existent. The customer portal promises a response from your Claims Agent within five working days, but this commitment has not been met. Repeated requests for updates have largely gone unanswered, leaving me uncertain about the progress of my case. Looking back, had I taken more notice of the many negative reviews regarding communication and customer service, I would have chosen another firm. I will update this review if matters improve, but at present I cannot recommend their service.

As a customer with a claim against a company facing impending compulsory dissolution my case was dismissed as unjustified when it was discovered that the company had set up as a phoenix organisation with a prohibited name in a separate town (Insolvency Act, 1986). The Legal Ombudsman subsequently endorsed the decision - but then they themselves get a 96 % one star rating on Trustpilot..

Mr Christopher Lee is dealing with my Professional Negligence claim against a family lawyer I used who was non-compliant with court orders issued by Judges causing me extreme financial loss and suffering symptomatic multiple myeloma in turn. Mr Christopher Lee was extremely kind, patient and understanding and explained the whole process and litigation steps thoroughly and in a simplistic and logical manner. Mr Lee's knowledge is legal accumen is phenomenal and he implements zealous advocacy and procedural nuance in a proactive and constructive manner. Lyons Davidson were appointed through our legal expenses insurance to advise on a complex property dispute. Unfortunately, our experience left us with no confidence in either the advice or the way the matter was handled. Important evidence, the chronology of events, practical risks to our property and relevant legal principles appeared to be overlooked or dealt with too superficially. The advice seemed focused on reaching the quickest possible settlement rather than properly examining the evidence, testing the other party’s allegations or protecting our position. We repeatedly explained key facts, including matters relating to drainage, access, an old single-brick structure, the risks of proposed excavation works and inconsistencies in the other party’s account. Despite this, we felt our position continued to be misunderstood. The complaint process was equally disappointing. After asking for the matter to be escalated, the same case handler whose work we were complaining about continued responding and defending his own assessment. In our view, that is not a genuinely independent review and felt like asking someone to mark their own homework. We ultimately withdrew authority for anyone at Lyons Davidson to act for us and instructed a local specialist solicitor instead. Since doing so, we have made considerably more practical progress and received advice that differs significantly from the position taken by Lyons Davidson. Based on our experience, we found the service lacking in care, depth and professionalism. We would not recommend Lyons Davidson for any property or neighbour dispute.. My advice : use a real solicitor.
