After completion in property transactions, a solicitor finalises the transfer of ownership at the Land Registry, ensures the mortgage is correctly discharged, and handles any remaining stamp duty duties. They also deal with post-completion formalities such as updating the register of title, sending the title documents to the client, and addressing any subsequent charges or liabilities that arise from the purchase. The work turns a completed sale into a legally registered ownership, and confirms the client’s formal position as the new owner.

“I arranged to speak to Andrew Campbell to discuss an on-going domestic issue linked to a property. Throughout the meeting Andrew was attentive, made sure he fully understood the situation, and my concerns, while providing a detailed breakdown of options available to me. At no time did I feel pushed into a course of action. Overall the service I recieved was excellent.”
