JWP Solicitors

My experience of working with solicitors is very limited, but after a recent hospitalisation, I realized I urgently needed to make a will. I was rather nervous about the whole thing, but Maria was helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my questions, and soon put me at my ease. She was very caring too, checking at intervals to see if I was comfortable or needed a drink and nothing seemed too much trouble. I would highly recommend her to anyone else finding themselves in need of a solicitor, Thank you, Maria, your kindness and helpfulness were greatly appreciated, and your professionalism with a personal touch made all the difference.

The service we received was excellent. Joanna listened and explained legal issues with warmth and interest for our particular needs. Everything about the service was so good, every communication prompt and helpful. We had actually approached another local solicitor’s practice before finding JWP and found the interview to be a bit confusing and ‘standard’ rather than personal, we almost gave up trying to make the changes we wanted. We highly recommend Joanna and the practice.

I recently went to JWP regarding a complex matter regarding wills and probate. I was lucky enough to be assigned a complimentary call with Joanna Longfellow. Within minutes I felt at ease with her warm and friendly manner but was really impressed with her ability to explain complex legal procedures in a clear and easy to understand way. Joanna showed a rare almost unique quality of being willing to pass on specialist advice before I actually became a client of JWP. She put my needs for information before JWP’s need to make money. That I find is all too rare in the legal profession and indeed the wider business world. Finally it comes as no surprise that every other review gives her the absolute maximum rating, obviously her other clients all feel the same way.

I recently had a complimentary call with Joanna Longfellow at JWP. It was about a complex matter regarding wills and probate. Within minutes I felt at ease with her warm and friendly manner yet she is very good at explaining technical details in a simple and easy to understand way. I learned a lot more from this one single phone call than from any other solicitor that I have ever dealt with. She is a true professional.

Nowadays it is so refreshing to come across someone who didn't try to exploit a situation for personal gain when taking the time to offer a few words of excellent advice would suffice. I wholeheartedly recommend these solicitors, specifically Mr John Wilkinson. Thank you.

I was really impressed with the way in which JWP responded to our request for help. We were offered a home visit from Fiona Haigh, who came within a couple of days. She was friendly, very reassuring, but professional, and she took all my worries and concerns on board and dealt with them in a manner that I could understand. I can’t thank her enough, and I would recommend JWP wholeheartedly.

Fiona Haigh of JWP assisted us in writing our wills and applying or Power of Attourney. She was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, she allowed plenty of time for questions which she explained in layman's terms. We cannot praise her highly enough and would have no hesitation in recommending her.

We had wills & LPA's done with JWP, Lorna was very helpful professional & knowledgeable, she explained everything in layman's terms and made sure we understood everything, she was also very patient & understanding. Joanna also returned a call when Lorna was unavailable, after I called & she was also professional and helpful. The only reason I have dropped a star is the quality of some of the pages of the photocopied documents, they are very lopsided, and unprofessional for legal copies.
