I am a Solicitor in the Family and Childcare Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. Based at the Manchester branch, I currently work under the direct supervision of Solicitor and Director Emily Reed, assisting in a wide range of matters which are both legal aid and privately funded. I passed my SQE1 exams in January 2024 and SQE2 exams in February 2025 and qualified as a Solicitor in May 2025. I acquired funding from the Social Welfare Solicitors Qualification Fund in April 2023 to support me with my studies. The matters I assist with include, but are not limited to, public law proceedings: Interim Care Orders, Care Orders, Supervision Orders, Placement Orders, Adoption Orders, Special Guardianship Orders, Proceedings in Relation to Allegations of Non-Accidental Injury and Public Law Outline matters (PLO). Private proceedings regarding: Child Arrangement Orders (Contact), Child Arrangement Orders (Residence), Prohibited Steps Orders and Specific Issue Orders. I also assist with domestic abuse matters, including: Non-Molestation Orders, Injunctions, Occupation Orders, FGM Protection Orders and Forced Marriage Protection Orders. Lastly, I assist with family matters including divorce and ancillary relief. I have a keen interest in developing my experience in International Family Law matters including child abduction, child relocation, international surrogacy and adoption.
