I advise on the full range of wills, powers of attorney, trusts, probate and estate planning work. I come from a business background and so I particularly enjoy advising business people on their own personal affairs, as I can draw upon my previous experience as a business lawyer. But I also enjoy helping our clients of more advancing years to sort out their affairs. Families can often be complicated, so I derive real satisfaction from being able to help clients prepare for their lifetime and afterwards. By organising their affairs, it can save so many problems later on and facilitate smooth family relationships and eventual succession. I am a School Governor at a local school in Sudbury. I love to travel, and plan to do so again more widely when my children let me. I am a keen sportsman, both playing and watching, and will surely be spotted by a talent scout one day… tennis is my Olympic event, though I’ll play anything with a ball.

    Great team, highly professional and knowledgeable!

    Estate Administration

    As a retired solicitor myself and having specialised in private client work for nearly 40 years, I have much experience of estate and trust administration, both as Executor and as Trustee and the quality of service can vary from the excellent to the embarrassing. Tim Ogle certainly qualifies as the former. His client care, responsiveness, attention to detail and the ability to stay within the estimated fee quote (and this was not the easiest of Estates to administer, partly because of the personalities of my co-Executors, both of whom live abroad, and partly because the free estate was linked to a Will Trust of which I was also Trustee) was exemplary and refreshing in these days of cold commerciality. I shall definitely be recommending Tim and Birkett Long whenever the opportunity arises.
