Nick Goodman joined Slater Heelis in 2023 as a Partner and Head of Insolvency Law. He graduated from Southampton University, and after qualifying as a solicitor, he worked in Hong Kong for six years in the commercial litigation department of Wilkinson & Grist. He returned to London and began to specialise in insolvency law, first with Wedlake Bell, then with Dibb Lupton Broomhead (as it then was). He transferred up to DLB’s Manchester office at the start of 1992, rising to partner, and in 1995 moved to Addleshaw Sons & Latham. In 2000 Nick established N J Goodman & Co based in Altrincham as a niche solicitors practice specialising in providing legal advice on all aspects of insolvency, including corporate recovery and personal bankruptcy. Nick holds a non-appointment-taking insolvency practitioner’s licence. He has been recommended as a leading insolvency lawyer in the North West in both Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and Legal Business Report on Legal Experts.
