The team at Herrington Carmichael are fabulous. We recently purchased our first home with Rachel, Annari and Mary-Jayne’s help. I can not fault our experience. Rachel and Annari were nothing but kind, caring and extremely helpful. Buying your first home is a stressful experience - let alone through the coronavirus outbreak - but I felt reassured that the team knew exactly what they were doing and were there for us if we needed them. Amazing and stress free service!

No Effort Spared
I am an overseas buyer with no experience of buying a new built in the UK. Herrington Carmichael was on the developer's nominated solicitors list. I approached HC as I understood it had worked with overseas buyers. With HC, the procedure had been laid out clearly for me from the beginning, from the proof of ID and source of funds, the exchange of contract to the completion stages. The solicitor teams worked fast and responded swiftly to all my enquiries. At the completion stage, an unexpected technical complication arose on my part and I feared I might miss the completion deadline. It was then the whole team demonstrated their strength, reassured me, explained to me what would happen and their action to best resolve the situation. They did. With their negotiation with the developers' team, the deadline met. No effort spared for a small case like mine.

A long time coming - thank you!
I originally worked with Annari in 2019 when I was trying to buy my first house on my own. It was a new build and there were several issues with the contract that the developer drew up; Annari was only too happy to help fight for several changes to make it more favourable. Unfortunately, due to illness, I had to pull out close to the exchange date, and Annari refunded all costs I'd already paid for, despite not being required to do so. It was very much appreciated at the time. In the intervening years we kept in touch, and Annari became a trusted advisor. It really is a case of 'you get what you pay for' though because my partner and I had to pull out of a sale last year due to the incompetence of the cheaper solicitors that the estate agent had recommended. When we engaged with Annari this time around, the experience was night and day. She dealt with us directly and promptly, and was always quick to respond and pick up the phone. The process was very smooth, and we now have our lovely first home. Thank you so much Annari!

Excellent service provided for first time buyer
I recently completed on my property purchase and I am extremely satisfied by the service provided. The team have been incredibly helpful and professional throughout the process. Every question or query was responded extremely quickly, and they helped making the whole process very easy and stress free. Definitely recommended if you are about to purchase a property and are looking for a solicitor!

Incredibly professional, courteous and efficient team!
We have had an amazing time dealing with this solicitors! Their communication has been outstanding, I think the longest I waited for a reply to an email (discounting weekends) is 24 hours. They kept me informed, used terminology I could understand, took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my understanding and understood the time requirements of the developer of the new build property we were purchasing. We selected Herrington Carmichael from a panel of solicitors that were recommended by our developer but they were definitely working on behalf of myself and my husband. We dealt with a few different people of which I'm not really sure why, but every single person we dealt with was friendly, courteous and efficient and we couldn't be more appreciative! I've tagged the people I can remember dealing with below but would also like to mention Ellie Beck, the Admin Assistant Apprentice, as well for also showing all the same qualities already mentioned! 1000% recommend.

Three House Purchase
