About this score
This rating is based on verified client feedback and compares how this firm’s value for money is perceived against the national average. In legal services, value for money is not about being the cheapest option, but about whether clients feel the service, expertise, and outcome justified the cost. This comparison helps place client experiences in context when choosing a law firm.

About this score
This rating is based on client feedback and compares how satisfied people were with the result of their legal matter against the national average for similar legal services. While every case is different and outcomes can depend on the law, the facts, and decisions made by courts or tribunals, this comparison is designed to be like for like.
When a firm has a large number of reviews, individual case differences tend to balance out over time. This makes the national average a useful benchmark for understanding how often clients feel the result achieved was fair and appropriate for their situation. Even small differences from the average can therefore reflect a meaningful difference in the overall standard of legal service provided.

About this score
This score shows how likely clients are to recommend this law firm to friends or family, based on verified reviews and compared with the national average. In legal matters, recommendations are usually based on trust, clarity of advice, and how supported clients felt throughout their case. This comparison helps show how consistently a firm meets those expectations.

Purchase property- First Time buyer
We had a great experience with the New Build team, who handled our conveyancing throughout the purchase of our new home. I had a long list of detailed questions throughout the process, and every question was answered promptly, clearly and professionally. They were both extremely helpful, responsive and reassuring whenever we needed clarification. The whole process was incredibly quick and smooth, and we really appreciated how efficiently everything was handled from start to finish. Thank you, for all your hard work and support throughout the process. We really appreciate it and would definitely recommend them to anyone purchasing a new-build home.

Excellent service and a lovely smooth process
We recently used Herrington Carmichael for our sale and purchase and couldn’t be happier with the service we received. They were incredibly thorough and communicative and the whole thing was so smooth from start to finish. We have used other solicitors in the past and none compare, the different has been drastic and I will absolutely use Herrington Carmichael again in future. I would highly recommend their services to anyone and cannot fault them. Thank you so much to Mary-Jayne and Emily Williams in particular - you made a stressful process as simple and pain-free as possible.

I would like to sincerely thank Aaron and the entire team for their excellent professional service. Aaron is truly an asset to the company. Whenever I sent him an email, he responded within a few minutes and always kept me updated throughout the process. I never felt ignored or left wondering about the progress of my case. I would also like to appreciate Mary Jayne, Emily, Laura Oakley, Jessica and the rest of the team. Everyone was prompt, helpful, professional, and courteous in their communication. Thank you all for making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I highly appreciate your dedication, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Keep up the great work!

What a great team at Herrington Carmichael in Camberley! I've been out of the property market for a while so was almost like buying my first house all over. There was a very smooth and organised flow within the team starting with Laura who helped me through the initial stages (with much patience!) through to Zoe the solicitor who dealt with the detailed review of the searchs, ending up with Mary-Jane and Ellan in the completions dept who dealt with the seller. They operated like a relay team passing the batten at each stage, absolutely brilliant! And this was all done through the pressures of the 30th June stamp duty deadline!! I hear many stories of nightmares with solicitors etc but I totally struck gold here and would highly reommend Herrington Carmichael. I'm in my new home now, and thanks to the team, made the SDLT deadline, much to my relief! Thank you to all !!!

The team at Herrington Carmichael are fabulous. We recently purchased our first home with Rachel, Annari and Mary-Jayne’s help. I can not fault our experience. Rachel and Annari were nothing but kind, caring and extremely helpful. Buying your first home is a stressful experience - let alone through the coronavirus outbreak - but I felt reassured that the team knew exactly what they were doing and were there for us if we needed them. They worked so hard to get everything ready for us to move in ASAP. Thank you Rachel, Annari and Mary-Jayne for all your hard work and help.
