What a great team at Herrington Carmichael in Camberley!
I've been out of the property market for a while so was almost like buying my first house all over.
There was a very smooth and organised flow within the team starting with Laura who helped me through the initial stages (with much patience!) through to Zoe the solicitor who dealt with the detailed review of the searchs, ending up with Mary-Jane and Ellan in the completions dept who dealt with the seller. They operated like a relay team passing the batten at each stage, absolutely brilliant!
And this was all done through the pressures of the 30th June stamp duty deadline!!
I hear many stories of nightmares with solicitors etc but I totally struck gold here and would highly reommend Herrington Carmichael.
I'm in my new home now, and thanks to the team, made the SDLT deadline, much to my relief!

Brilliant!

Mary-Jayne Eldred was a rock during a difficult exchange!
I worked with Mary-Jayne to complete the sale of my house which was a difficult one after being ghosted by our initial buyers and then the process held up by my next set of buyers. In the end she was able to go above and beyond to ensure that all the i's were dotted and the t's were crossed for paperwork and checks that are not typically necessary.
She also was able to calm me down during the more tumultuous periods and ensured that I stayed the course and did not do anything rash as things got tricky. I have my utmost thanks to her!

Joel and Rebecca’s Ash Vales Sale/Purchase
MJ and Kate at Herrington provided us an experience with the sale and purchase of our new home that was of a different standard to any other conveyancing engagements we’ve had previously.
It is clear they are thorough, knowledgeable and what has most impressed me is the communication. They have been approachable and have trusted them in keeping me updated. There was never a time where you felt as though you should chase for an update.
Our lease hold and property management circumstances with our sale were challenging. H Carmichael made moments that were frustrating and patience testing all the easier to digest and we had peace of mind that we were in safe hands throughout.

Professional and trustworthy
I used Herrington Carmichael (HC) for both my sale and purchase during my move from Cambs to Berkshire. They provided a service to the expected standard, handling my case professionally and with transparency. My queries were answered quickly and communication was smooth. No Effort Spared
I am an overseas buyer with no experience of buying a new built in the UK. Herrington Carmichael was on the developer's nominated solicitors list. I approached HC as I understood it had worked with overseas buyers. With HC, the procedure had been laid out clearly for me from the beginning, from the proof of ID and source of funds, the exchange of contract to the completion stages. The solicitor teams worked fast and responded swiftly to all my enquiries. At the completion stage, an unexpected technical complication arose on my part and I feared I might miss the completion deadline. It was then the whole team demonstrated their strength, reassured me, explained to me what would happen and their action to best resolve the situation. They did. With their negotiation with the developers' team, the deadline met. No effort spared for a small case like mine.

Property sale and purchase
We appointed Herrington Carmichael for the sale and purchase of our new build property. At the same time we used them for the purchase of a new build property for our daughter with the property in her own name. They were meticulous and the fees quoted were extremely competitive so we knew what the costs were for each part of the transaction,

House sale and purchase
MJ and her team were incredibly helpful, courteous and friendly. They always responded in a timely manner. The sale in particular was very complex and they dealt with everything so our buyers could complete by the Stamp duty deadline. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

There are Angels
There are Angels
They say moving is stressful but the team I had on board throughout my sale and purchase pulled out all the stops to get both over the line. In all I had six dealing with all the aspects on both.
I had a problem that my lease showed a parking space my Landlord just took away to build a driveway to another property. He thought it could be resolved with a Variation Agreement but the Land Registry rejected this so my team got to work with surrendering my original lease issuing a new one but in the name of my purchasers to speed things up and saved the day.
I cannot thank them enough for a tremendous job and being so helpful throughout
