On behalf of my daughter, I would not recommend this company. We instructed them in June to handle the flat purchase. After 13 weeks, just as we were awaiting exchange, the Director Eleanor informed us of an internal "oversight" and that the firm was not insured to act on a building of this height. Subsequently, they instantly withdrew from the transaction and told us to find another solicitor. Inevitable, the delay caused the sellers to lose confidence and withdraw from the sale, resulting in my daughter losing the property through no fault of her own. Eleanor will not refund my daughter for the wasted searches and so we have referred the matter to The Legal Ombudsman to consider appropriate redress. Eleanor just couldn't see that is was unreasonable for my daughter to bear ANY cost, when the transaction failed as a direct result of her firms negligence and professional failing. You have been warned.... Polite follow up to your reply. 1) There is definitely NOT more to this matter than I have already outlined. "If there was one, you would have mentioned it, right?" My account is 100% verifiable. 2) You say this matter is still being reviewed by your complaints department. We complained 18 weeks ago? I will let the readers of this review decide for themselves whether that is resonable?

Jackie Stay recently represented the buyer on a property that Fine and Country were selling in Chesham, and I cannot recommend her services high enough. She was always contactable, hugely efficient, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I look forward to doing many transactions together in the future. Absolutely first class!
