Tenancy Angels directed me to Ask Legal and to Faisal and I was so grateful they did! Faisal was incredibly helpful and explained everything really clearly. He had excellent knowledge of our kind of case and I was delighted that we were able to settle the claim, without going to court, but win back our deposit and more! I had the pleasure of using Tenancy Angels who redirected me to ask legal solicitors where I was introduced to Faisal who did an incredible job, had excellent legal knowledge and communication skills, very fast and timely responses and managed to settle the claim without it going to court and without it taking too long - overall a great service and experience.

They’re not satisfied with their own agreed fees.
After winning the case and recovering 3x the deposit, the solicitor refused to stick to the 25% success fee in the contract. He demanded more and withheld my money.
I had to report him to the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA. Be very careful before trusting this firm.

Terrible experience – avoid this firm. I hired Ask Legal Solicitors for a tenancy deposit claim under a "no win, no fee" agreement (CFA) with a 25% success fee cap. The landlord paid three times the deposit (the maximum under the law), and the case was successful.
Despite this, the solicitor tried to keep far more than 25%, demanded additional fees, and refused to release my full share. He also pressured me to go to court after advising earlier that it was too risky.
When I refused to pay more than what was agreed in the CFA, he withheld my money. I had no choice but to report him to the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA.
Ask Legal made a stressful situation even worse. I do not recommend this firm — they are not transparent, and do not respect their own contracts.

I was referred to a solicitor from this firm by Tenant Angels, after my former letting agent breached the law by unprotecting my deposit. Atif answered all of my queries, kept me in the loop, and argued on my behalf. In less than 2 months, my case was settled without needing to go to court, earning the maximum amount of compensation. I would absolutely recommend Atif's services to fight anybody's corner who has been wronged by their letting agent/landlord.

Atif helped me with a claim for a deposit that was not protected and he was fantastic. From the first phone call where he explained the process to me and answered all of my questions. We were linked with Ask Legal by Tenancy Angels where Atif reviewed our claim.
Right from the beginning I felt well informed and knew the anticipated expectation at each stage. Atif understood our position and the reason for our claim and was able to gain a settlement without going through court.
I felt from the beginning Atif was on our side, we were copied into all emails and knew what was going on at each stage and knew the plans that would be following each stage depending on the outcome.
Our experience was really positive, and I would highly recommend. Before reaching out false allegations were made from the other party, in a bid to scare and intimidate us. There was no evidence supporting these claims, and we had evidence contradicting these. Atif had all he needed prior to approaching the other party and was able to dispute their false claims that were made in response. I really felt supported and looked after throughout the process.
