Tess at Meadows and Co handled the sale of a property for us. The sale was more complicated than it needed to be due to the purchaser's solicitor but Tess was patient, efficient and very helpful in handling the difficulties

Great, trustworthy, impactful. Helped give initial guidance, explained approach, risks and time-line. Ensured clear and consistent communication and completed transaction very well.

I've worked with Sarah BW a number of times on property sales and purchases, and cannot recommend her highly enough. Professional, knowledgeable and empathetic with the stresses a house move can bring, I always recommend her to friends, as I can't imagine a house move without her!

Catriona was exceptional. With a not so straight forward sale and an initial purchase that fell through, Catriona not only kept us very well informed but was able to fast track our purchase after the first fell through and align them both to complete at the same time. We thoroughly recommend her as not only a brilliant solicitor but also a really lovely person too.

We used Sarah Ryan as our conveyancer for our house purchase as first time buyers. Despite facing multiple challenges during searches and exchange due to slow responses from other parties, Sarah was nothing but extremely professional. Clearly very experienced with the industry, she was incredibly helpful, proactive, and kept us up-to-date throughout the process.
I was recommended to this solicitor by an estate agent. I went with this solicitor only because they were local to the purchase. I found them very slow and they don't provide you with an on-line portal that you can follow your purchase on, to follow the progress of it. When I mentioned this to my solicitor' dealing with my purchase I didn't get a response from him. When purchasing a house it is good to see the progression of your sale with an on-line portal, so you can see how fast things are moving and if there are any questions you need to raise, otherwise you don't have a foggiest of where your at with your purchase and your left in the dark waiting for for an email or a phone call that doesn't come through. Having things in writing is much better and professional than just talking with your client on the phone, and you also have a paper trial of your purchase. This solicitor really needs to bring this service in and to let their clients follow their progression of their purchase both together. I have returned to my original solicitor' who has always had an on-line portal you can follow and who are really efficient and fast. Be aware also of hidden 'abortion fees' with this firm, as I pulled out of a 'purchase' and had money on account, but they still charged me £1,000 + VAT for pulling out - (50%)
We used Catriona from Meadows Ryan to help with the sale of our house. She was amazing! We had a complicated sale and Catriona was brilliant at putting us at ease and we always felt good that we have Catriona in our corner.

My partner and I recently used Meadows & Co when buying our flat. We were both first time buyers, and we were very grateful for Alastair's (our solicitor) patience and experience in helping us through the process. Would highly recommend their services!
These guys are the most unprofessional in terms of clarifying T&c’s, conduct of business and threatening to take you to court on challenging them on their invoicing methods. I have bought and sold 2 properties in the UK but this time I decided to use Medows Ryan on recommendation of my estate agents. I had agreed to pay on an hourly basis as they convinced me this was the best way as we have now moved abroad. My sales fell through in July 2024 and all of sudden they have started making demands for additional fees which I believe are complete arbitrary and in a very unprofessional way

A very good, professional service that attended to my requirements from start to end of my time working with them. At all times, I felt guided, supported and all communication was dealt with promptly. My only concern is the price one must pay for services rendered. I understand that solicitors offer service in a complex, legal world, however the price for these services is very high. By the time my engagement with them come to an end, it had cost me a significant part of my savings to pay the fees for all invoices. I have no regrets for using Meadows & Co, on the contrary, I thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for legal help and support, however I do warn in advance, the cost of their service is very high and please ensure you have funds available.

Having explained that the Foreign Trust was not part of the IHT, the Solicitor made many emails to the Trust to find out more, wanting to know all about the assets etc. A waste of time and my money. The assets were seperate from this IHT. I was charged thousands tho. and the recipients of the wound up Trust were charged the Trusts expenses in answering her questions! So they lost money as well.

Stay away from this firm at all costs. They are absolutely awful and I give 0 stars, but the lowest I can select is 1
I have worked with four departments within Meadows & Co over the years and they have all been excellent. Timely, friendly, and thorough.
AVOID this firm at all cost. I asked for help getting probate and have had 3 different solicitors on this simple case, severe delays, significant fees and no results. Partners of the firm don’t care when you complaint when you don’t get response from the person handling your case. I have dealt with a lot of legal firms in the past but have never experienced anything as unprofessional and terrible as this firm!
