It will be quick and simple we were told. No chain just formalities, leave it to us it will all be dealt with. No don’t believe that, first all the mundane decisions and legalities which to the everyday persons are daunting. Then the time waiting not knowing things are happening between the solicitors and other agents and a feeling of being in limbo are so difficult however eventually despite transactions taking months longer than anticipated the relief of final exchanges and moving dates set in motion. We went from doubting the sales would ever happen to finally being settled in the new property.

I have no hesitation in recommending Alex May following using the services of Clarke and Son and in particular Alex. Meetings were held both virtually and in person and Alex was able to articulate and explain the documents in a way that made understanding very easy for me. All emails were responded to promptly with all matters followed up in a timely manner.

I used Marie Pym from Clarke & Son Ltd for my recent house sale and purchase and I would highly recommend them. Marie was very professional and hardworking and went above and beyond to get the purchase done quickly to meet the stamp duty change at the end of March. Marie communicated clearly and appropriately at all times and was always available to clarify and/or answer questions despite it being an extremely busy time. I also found the reception staff very welcoming and friendly on the times that I had to pop in to drop things off / pick them up. Thank you Clarkes and Son- I would not hesitate to use you again.

Clarke & Son are excellent solicitors, I have just used them for my house purchase. I dealt with Marie Pym, who has been very speedy in responses, chasing the seller's solicitors and had a keen eye to detail (caught some things out I never saw!). I originally used another solicitor in basingstoke, had a horrible experience and so was quite nervous when I chose Clarke & Son. However, the experience has been so smooth and so perfect from end to end! I highly recommend.

Shea was excellent. He advised me on what I needed and even though my sisters solicitor wanted to go down another route he advised me to stick with his decision , which was the cheaper option. When things went wrong on my sisters side, he reassured me and didn’t change the price from the original quote. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him
