I have been benefitting from legal advice from Scott Bailey for over 20 years. They have always been extremely helpful and given me sound guidance on all my property transactions and also Wills & Trusts. To a layman these complex subjects are often daunting and overwhelming. This is where SB have exceeded all my expectations by ensuring I am knowledgeable and comfortable with every part of the process. I am pleased to have formed good relationships with the people I need to speak to and it feels like nothing is too much trouble. They are consistently obliging and courteous, efficient and effective. My recent experience was withing the Wills & Trusts department. Once again - I was able to reach the person I needed (in this case - Toby) within minutes and Toby had the information at his fingertips. I am delighted to be able to have full confidence in the whole team and I thoroughly recommend Scott Bailey.

Dear Charles, We are sorry you have left this review, and we do not consider it at all fair. In fact, it is inaccurate, bordering on defamatory, and we would suggest you withdraw it. Where we are appointed as executors, we have legal and professional duties to administer estates properly, which can take longer than expected as more transpires, particularly where property and various third parties are involved. We cannot of course comment further on the specifics in a public forum due to confidentiality obligations, but we are confident that we followed our legal and professional obligations in this matter. I can’t praise Scott Bailey enough for their support in selling my late mum’s property. Victoria Smalley, Associate Partner, was exceptional — professional, responsive, and always one step ahead. She kept us fully informed, ensured we understood each stage, and handled the complexities of an estate sale with overseas beneficiaries with real care. A difficult situation was made far easier thanks to her dedication. Highly recommended.

The worst service ever! My dad appointed Scott Bailey as executors to his estate. Fairly straightforward, quoted at approx. £5k. 4 years and £32000 later this is still not resolved. Only ever took action when chased. Broke GDPR regulations by sharing my address with all named in the will, then covered each others backs. They got his name wrong and referenced a completely unrelated property and referred to him constantly as a file number. Not at all sympathetic when people are grieving. I appreciate there was a property to sell but this completed early 2025! Keep well clear!!
Dear Debbi, We are sorry that you are unhappy with your experience. We would not normally comment on specific matters on a public forum, however due to the serious nature of your comments, we feel obliged to address certain elements. Where we are appointed as executors, we have legal and professional duties to administer estates properly, which can take longer than expected as more transpires, particularly where property and third parties are involved. Your concerns about service and data protection were formally investigated some time ago through our complaints procedure. Our conclusion was that no GDPR breach occurred and our duties had been met. We are sorry that this matter has been distressing during a period of bereavement. While we do not recognise some of the assertions made, and feel your review is not entirely fair, we do use all feedback to try to constantly improve our client service, including levels of communication with third parties. We cannot comment further on the specifics in a public forum due to confidentiality obligations, but remain willing to engage constructively through appropriate channels. Scott Bailey LLP

I have found ScottBailey solicitors to be commercially inflexible and potentially very expensive. My aunt is seriously ill in hospital and may not survive. I am one of my aunt’s closest living relatives. ScottBailey is named as the executor of her Will but wants to charge me £350 for a consultation (or £500 if we want an “emergency consultation”) to discuss the situation. I think this aggressive commercial approach is completely inappropriate in the circumstances and demonstrates a serious lack of both customer focus and empathy. I recommend avoiding this practice.
