I cannot thank Samir Moftah and the team at Manak Solicitors enough. My daughter got caught misusing a pass, and we were incredibly stressed about the potential long-term consequences and prosecution from TfL. We decided to hire Samir based on his stellar reputation, and it was the best decision we could have made. Samir was incredibly professional, clear in his advice, and very easy to communicate with from start to finish. He handled the pass misuse case with a strategic approach and managed to negotiate a warning for my daughter, meaning she avoided a criminal record. We feel very lucky to have had him on our side. From start to finish with the sale of my old house and the purchase of my new home, Tanya was calm and clear in her communication with me. This stopped me from getting stressed. She heard all my instructions and let me know what to do and when. This made the process very smooth as it is too easy to barrage the team when there are periods when it seems as if nothing is happening. House selling and buying will take several months to complete and there are periods when the team gets on with the work and we don't have to. Tanya was professional and light and protected me when other party's were quite impatient and obviously only concerned about themselves and their commission! I would heartily recommend Manak. I cannot thank Adella Thomas, Baldip, and the whole team at Manak Solicitors enough for everything they have done for me over the last 5 years. Family proceedings are emotionally exhausting and at times overwhelming, and there were many moments where I felt stressed, anxious and unsure about what the future would look like. Throughout it all, Adella showed professionalism, patience, compassion and incredible dedication. What impressed me most was that I never felt like just another client. Adella always took the time to explain things clearly, guide me through difficult decisions and support me during some of the hardest periods of my life. I’m writing this review because I too would appreciate an honest and raw review, and I want to help others. I was dealing with a TFL case which was incredibly stressful. I came across Samir; Manak Solicitors. Initially, I had seen good reviews but in hindsight, I was in such a vulnerable position that I didn’t want to dig further and I just wanted my case to be over with. Of course later on, when I did more digging around which I really recommend in doing, I found ALL the reviews very beneficial. I called Samir to book a consultation and it was a two minute call (I kid you not, literally two minutes; I had gone back to check because it felt so wrong). Samir on the call sounded very unbothered, not empathetic, and very cold. He told me that he’ll send me a link to pay him £200 for the consultation and that we will have a mental health approach… I also thought that was odd because it felt like he was reading off a script and most probably used that exact approach to many others. I paid the £200. Organised a date and time for the consultation. I specifically asked if I needed to bring/ do anything to prepare for the consultation and Samir had said no. When it came to the consultation, the whole thing felt rushed which was diabolical because I had paid him for my services. I felt like I was wasting Samir’s time. I felt like he was fed up. When I would ask questions, he looked as if he wanted me to leave the room. He just felt very agitated and annoyed I was there in the first place. Samir had asked me to go through my paperwork and highlight things. Because of his whole demeanour, (I have mentioned above) I felt under pressure and couldn’t concentrate. It annoyed me because I had asked him before if I needed to prepare anything beforehand and he said no. Had I have known to highlight things, I would’ve done that before and felt more prepared in the consultation… When I was taking notes, I felt like he was judging my note taking when mind you, considering my career and years of dedicating my life to education, I know very well how to take notes. Again, he was cold and I felt like I was just another number added to his client list. The action plan after the consultation was to gather mitigations to put forward to my case. I still felt off vibes and I just wasn’t confident that he would win my case. At this point, I still was doing research and hadn’t paid Samir further to have him represent me. Some time later, I felt like Samir was very unorganised and I didn’t feel like he even cared about my case at all. I was completely thrown off. I ended up not continuing with Samir and I am so thankful that I didn’t. I don’t recommend him at all.
