I was working as a front line police in July 2021 when I was struck by a drink driver. My case was handed to Pattinson and Brewer and I was allocated to Marcus Weatherby. Marcus was very professional throughout the process, he was very friendly and provided me and my partner with professional support and advise.

was my free solicitor with usdaw/union. we won the case, i got £3906 settlement after my employer first tried to play it on and deny liability. settlement was no deductions as union fully paid any costs so no cost to me and i kept the full settlement. got check in the post, banked it. all good. took around the average time for a case, little over a year, internet tells me its usually around 12 months but much longer if employer denies liability, so the time was about right according to internet. id reccomend everyone i work with to use this service as i know lots who get injured at my workplace and end up losing income for months. anyway, good service, we won, union paid, i kept full settlement. good job.

Although, the case was extremely stressful and emotional, I felt supported and reassured throughout the whole case, communication was exceptional and I felt that I was kept in the loop at all times. Advice was great.

I really didn't know what to expect when I first started communicating with Marcus, but by the end of our first telephone conversation, I felt more at ease. I was looking forward to our first Teams meeting, because I would finally be able to put a face to the voice. I consider myself fortunate to have had Marcus. He's very thorough, and hardworking, but most of all kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend Marcus to others.

Marcus was a great help in bringing my case to a conclusion at a settlement significantly higher than the initial assessment. He was easy to deal with, clear on the practicalities of dealing with the law and able to talk me through the realistic options for my case to achieve a quick settlement without the need to go to court and with minimal charges made against my claim winnings.

Absolutely shocking lack of communication. I sent email after email to my assigned solicitor, regarding evidence and she just couldn't be bothered getting back to me. I eventually wrote to the company, asking that they contact her and ask her to get in touch with me and even they didn't bother replying to my email. I'd serious reconsider hiring this firm to represent you in any way, shape or form. If they are unprofessional enough, not to be bothered with communicating with their clients, I'd imagine they aren't that interested in winning or losing a case in court.

I have had an impeccable experience with this firm and I had nearly lost my workplace injury claim through the Thomsons Solicitors as they had acknowledged their failure last minute because of this , I had changed my solicitor to Pattinson & Brewer and Frances McCarthy had helped me with this situation and I had received a favourable outcome of the situation . Even though , the situation still hasn’t come to an end with Thomson’ Solicitor however I am very confident with Frances McCarthy on my side . She is very amazing and responds rapidly to my queries so I strongly recommend this firm .

I have no words to describe how slow they are to provide you an update.
What you don't want is somone working part time to deal with your case and ignore you every time you ask for an update
