There was a slight hiccup at the start in getting a solicitor allocated to us, we were lost in the system and had to phone a few times for someone to manually get into the account and allocate. Once we had Dawn on our case it was nothing short of excellent service. The case was not straight forward with the extensive checks showing we required indemnity insurance which Dawn explained thoroughly our options. The communication was exceptional, we knew the status at all times with many check ins and Dawn could articulate all legal jargon in a way we could easily follow. We would 100% recommend and would use Lilac Law again.

Lilac Law were recommended by our mortgage advisor and we are so glad we went with them. Ethan and his team have been absolutely amazing throughout the entire house buying process and he went above and beyond with helping us in every step of the way as first time home buyers. He answered all of our questions and made sure we understood everything that we needed to and nothing seemed like it was too much hassle as Ethan was always lovely and happy to help. Susie Lennard has been absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond when working on our house purchase. She took over from another solicitor after they became absent from the firm. While we understand that such things can be out of anyone’s control, during this time we received no updates from Lilac Law and were left waiting for around two weeks, feeling ignored and worried, until we eventually received an email from Susie explaining that she would be taking over our case. From that point onwards, Susie worked incredibly hard to help us complete our purchase as quickly as possible. As first-time buyers, we really appreciated how clearly she explained the process and the professional advice she gave us throughout. She was always incredibly helpful, responsive and supportive, and we are very grateful for all her hard work. We have given 4 stars because of the lack of communication and support from Lilac Law during the initial two weeks with our first solicitor. However, once Susie took over our case, she was fantastic and went above and beyond to get everything back on track. We would highly recommend Susie to anyone looking for a solicitor!

Unfortunately my experience of lilac law has been nothing short of shoddy. As first time buyers of a property it's not the easiest process to learn and understand. Our first real experience with them was being asked to sign and date a document to show our boundary line.The document barely showed the property and was cut off. Complete lack of attention to detail and no apology provided when questioned. Sadly this made the process more stressful as I no longer trusted anything they provided and with hindsight should have gone with a different solicitors. Unfortunately due to a bad survey the house purchase fell through and a frankly outrageous final invoice was issued. Fine whatever it is what it is. Then a month later I get an email saying sorry you still owe 192 pound. I queried this and have been told the price quoted didn't include vat. However this also does not add up which I'm about to further dispute. Lilac were recommended by tembo and this experience has tarnished not only my perception of themselves but also of the trustworthiness of Tembo themselves. NEW BUYERS BEWARE. My experience has been they have no care, no attention to detail and if you want someone to support you with the process, do not go with Lilac law
