    As a Lettings Agent, I sought advice in respect of ongoing issues with a Landlord. The initial consultation was scheduled for the same week as my enquiry. Victoria quickly understood the situation and gave clear advice and assisted with drafting a letter to the Landlord. I had previously struggled with obtaining advice via a legal helpline and found the personal face-to-face consultation really beneficial. Going forward I am keen to build on this positive experience and develop an ongoing relationship. Having access to a local lettings expert is reassuring being new to the industry.

    Extremely poor level of service and communication. I would not use Merritt's Solicitors again, nor would I recommend them. I was not provided with updates throughout the process, call back and update requests were ignored, and rude emails were issued to myself and my estate agent. The only way we received updates were by having to approach the purchasers solicitors for details of documents which were outstanding. When brief communications finally commenced towards the completion, Charlotte Fairfax's response was simply if you do not like the level of communication then hire another solicitor. Far from professional and far from helpful. My estate agent confirmed before my completion date that Merritts were removed from their panel and they will not be used again. Appaling service and approach to customers who are going through some of their biggest and most stressful life experiences in selling a property. Stay clear.
