Top 10 of 849 law firms for Home to School Transport Appeals, Appeals Law

Law firms ranked by client reviews

Home to school transport appeals cover local authority decisions about eligibility for free or assisted transport for a child to attend school. A solicitor practising in this area reviews the local authority’s decision, gathers supporting evidence (such as learner needs, travel arrangements, distance, and safety considerations), drafts and submits the appeal, and represents the client at any transport appeal hearing. The work often involves coordinating with education departments, transport officers, and, where relevant, SEN teams, to present a case under the Education Act 1996 and related guidance in England.

What a solicitor handles in these matters

The solicitor handles the provisions, procedures and evidence necessary to challenge a transport decision, including compiling route assessments, medical or mobility evidence, and statutory criteria; liaising with the Local Authority and school; and presenting submissions at the transport appeal hearing. Practical factors such as travel times, safety, and eligibility thresholds create procedural and evidential complexity, particularly when medical or SEN considerations apply.

Yes/no satisfied of the outcome because I know I was pushed to plea guilty because the barrister said the jury will find me guilty even if I didn't do anything. My solicitor at WhiteRoseBlackmans told me to plea not guilty because no evidence on one matter but never did anything wrong to the other matter either. Just silly things I said. I am going to wait until I get out to see if I can overthrow my convictions. Can't believe the jury would find me guilty on no evidence. I should have never been put in here because of what I went through in my childhood in the 80s, been let down like children are today getting blamed for something not their fault.
