General strategic planning in employment law covers how an organisation aligns people, policy and risk to achieve its aims. A solicitor in this area helps draft and review workforce strategies, HR policies and restructuring plans, and advises on redundancy processes, TUPE considerations, and consultation with unions or worker representatives. They may also coordinate risk assessments under equality and employment protections and ensure that strategy interacts with disciplinary, grievance, and whistleblowing procedures.
