This work covers residential conveyancing, buy-to-let and social housing matters, landlord and tenant disputes, leasehold enfranchisement, boundary and title problems, mortgage and possession cases and housing-condition claims. Solicitors draft and negotiate contracts and leases, exchange and complete conveyancing, prepare and register transfers and charges at HM Land Registry, serve and respond to s.8 and s.21 possession notices, represent clients in county courts and in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), and press or resist repair and disrepair claims under statutory housing law. Lender requirements, deposit protection schemes and conveyancing searches commonly structure the process.

“Couldn’t say a bad word about our experience with blacks, Clare had been reassuring all the way through the process of buying our first house, she replies to emails nearly straight away and has been so helpful. Would 100% recommend blacks and would definitely use them again myself. Made the stressful time of buying a house so much easier and put myself and my partner at ease through it all. 10/10 service. Would not hesitate to recommend them, could not have asked for more in every aspect.”

“We used Hewitts conveyancing services for both our house sale and purchase. Our solicitor Danielle Sullivan was absolutely fantastic throughout. Despite Danielle and her secretary Jasmin Dolan being exceptionally busy, and working in the middle of a pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, they always had time to answer any questions we had, and gave us regular updates, providing professional advice and reassurance through what is a very stressful time. Highly recommend 🌟”
