The Skilled Worker Route covers visa applications for non‑UK nationals who have a job offer from a licensed employer and meet wage and skill requirements under UK immigration rules. A solicitor practising this area handles the sponsorship process, checks the employer’s eligibility, and prepares the application to the Home Office, including gathering evidence of identity, qualifications, and sponsorship declarations. They also advise on dependents, switching routes, and potential outcomes if the sponsor or role changes.
Where a solicitor protects your position
The solicitor ensures all deadlines and evidential thresholds are met, clarifies which documents the Home Office requires, and navigates appeals or administrative checks if a submission is delayed or refused. Their role is to protect the client’s position by ensuring compliance with the Skilled Worker visa rules, including the sponsor licence requirements, salary thresholds, and occupation codes, alongside safeguarding rights and responsibilities under UK immigration law.
