Misleading

All the other reveiws seem to have echoed what I was about to say, but be mindful when and if your doing " A no win, no fee", because they tell you it's originally 25% but that goes up when it gets to the nitty gritty of getting compensation. The Solicitor told me the terms were in the contract it can be as high as 40% and more, then why on earth did I start the process in the first place.
The contract reads like a Bible Amen to that I got to the first paragraph and gave up and they expect you've read it in times of turmoil in your life, no you must make it clear verbally.
Don't take anything for granted, don't make assumptions, because youl get the total opposite. I don't understand I was recommended by 2 people to go to Irwin Mitchell, why on earth didn't I go locally.

Deputy Irwin Mitchell Trust Corporation

After more than 12 months of ongoing issues, I raised in November 2021 a complaint about the deputy of my daughters complex care package, Irwin Mitchell LLP, represented by Julia Lomas and Lucy Nicol. As the law firm refused to take actions or find a resolution for any of the issues raised.

In summary, Irwin Mitchell caused severe and irreversible and continuing financial damage to my daughters limited care funds and compromised my daughters wellbeing, by means of
a) slow processing of urgent deputy related decisions, towards e.g. investments but also care relevant equipment.
b) repeated ignorance of mutually agreed processes, resulting in exorbitant time spend from my side to rectify and resolve issues created by the deputy
c) ongoing payment issues, processing invoices in relation to my daughters care to late or only after final warnings (with all related implications) have been issued, resulting in additional work, avoidable interest charged to my daughters care package and reputational and credit rating related damages to me

The entire deputy team appears unable to acknowledge or apologise for any errors made. Senior managers are poorly prepared, high defensive and argue even the most appalling errors made by their trainee teams - as client, we felt continuously left alone with poorly trained and sometimes unprofessional associates.

Stay away from the deputy team at Irwin Mitchell LLP

Shocking solicitor - should be remanded for utter laziness and fleecing clients for money. Had to remind him to progress case. Never responded to emails in good time. Never answered queries. Had to assist him with evidence which was in plain site.

Worst service from a solicitor I have ever had.

Took my case to another firm and would never recommend this firm.

Better and cheaper options out there!

Be careful as to whom you put down as an executor of a will because if it's a solicitors the charges for probate/dealing with the estate "could" run into thousands as per the experience here, and it's difficult to nigh impossible to remove them without having to go through a court. Whether it's charging by the hour or charging a percentage of the estate I am sure many don't realise how much this will cost because of course when you write a will you may have no idea of the fees that they will charge. So my advice is if your loved one has made a will through a solicitor maybe an uncomfortable conversation may be best to avoid a massive shock later. We will never know if using Irwin Mitchell as an executor was the wish of our loved one or if possible (alleged) "persuasion" was a factor when the will was being set up. I know our loved one would be horrified if they were still here.

Great Service

From the first call with Daniella Colton, she was so supportive which made me feel settled about the choices I had to make. Because of this, I chose to go with Irwin Mitchell for this reason and she was fantastic right to the very end making sure I fully understood everything along the way.

We recommend them to everyone

We’ve had a fantastic experience working with Saydie Farrell on our case. She made what felt like a never ending, difficult case feel easy and comfortable for my mother. We are truly appreciative and thankful to have a supportive team who have been ever so understanding and patient with my mother during her lowest time. We highly recommend Irwin Mitchell to everyone. The process was simplified greatly for us and it was an amazing experience working closely with Saydie. She will be greatly missed by our family and wish her all the best.

Rebecca and her team were incredible

Irwin Mitchell were recommended to us as a result of our 12 year old daughter requiring specialist rehabilitation after complications following surgery to treat scoliosis. As a result of the surgery, she was left with significant life changing injuries that require life long care. We contacted Irwin Michell and the response was immediate, we had a visit from a Senior Partner within 48 hours to gain an understanding of our position and to make an outline assessment of our case. Right from the start, we felt a transparent and personal approach to our family which continued throughout our case which settled in June 2024. Irwin Mitchell were able to skilfully identify a range of expert witnesses to evidence the clinical negligence our daughter experienced. Throughout our case, from seeking the evidence, liaising with us as a family and providing updates and being available for questions and explanations of progress, we have been incredibly impressed with the way we have been supported through a challenging and complicated legal process. Our Solicitor, Rebecca Cherry, and her team have provided a service which I can only describe as outstanding; Rebecca's availability and responsiveness has been exemplary and her diligence and friendly, personal approach has been an incredibly reassuring factor, even when there have been real challenging situations through the period of Covid and lockdown. Rebecca never ceased to amaze us in her genuine concern for our daughters health and well being and in our opinion, went over and above to ensure we were able to navigate the challenges restrictions imposed during this period. Rebecca has guided us through the processes with clear explanations and in an uncomplicated style and her personable way of communicating has left us feeling completely safe to focus on our daughters rehabilitation and that the legal challenges were being confidently and robustly managed on our behalf in the background. Rebecca was able to liaise with our Barristers and expertly manage our relationship so we were not overwhelmed with the complexities of legal processes along with answering any questions we had through our journey. Rebeca's team have also always provided an excellent support where required and it was very evident, everyone had an incredible knowledge of our case and a commitment to gaining the best possible outcome. We have been nothing less than delighted with the level of expertise, care and empathy afforded to us and would highly recommend Irwin Mitchell to anyone that is seeking to identify a Solicitor to support them in a clinical negligence case.

Thank you Sinead

Sinead Rollinson-Hayes from Irwin Mitchell helped us immensely, she gave us answers despite our case not going forward. We would have been wondering if more could have been done for our son for the rest of our lives without Sinead getting us the answers we needed. We can now try to move on with our lives without our eldest son. In our opinion Sinead went above and beyond for us to which we will be eternally grateful. We would definitely use this company again if needed. Thank you Sinead
