As the title suggests, my partner and I recently bought our first home and thus required a conveyancing solicitor to assist us with this process. Which, incidentally, is my first and most important point. Sarah (and her team) were simply excellent and saying they assisted us, and I do hate clichés but this definitely applies, is the understatement of the century. They just handled every detail, every conceivable scenario, every bit of communication perfectly so much so that we barely had to think about it. I can wholeheartedly tell you that not having to worry about the legal aspects of buying a home is simply fantastic and allowed us to think about the things that 'really' mattered. Decorating decisions (arguments), where we were going to put furniture... you know, the really important stuff! On a more serious note, Sarah and team went above and beyond to provide clear and succinct advice where appropriate to help us make the best decisions prior to signing the contracts for our purchase. Also worth noting is that we reached out to other conveyancing solicitors (as I'm sure many of you would do) to compare quotes, quality of response etc. Thomas Flavell & Sons were the only Solicitor who responded quickly with a quote and were happy to take us on at a time when conveyancing and home buying/selling was facing a huge backlog. The others simply didn't respond or were unwilling to accept any new clients at the time. If you're buying your first home, I cannot recommend Thomas Flavell & Sons enough.
