I initially rang GWCA after my aunt died as BBMW (Burnand Brazier Malcolm Wilson) drew up her will and were named, alongside me and two other parties, as executors. Initially, they told me it would be better if I found a solicitor local to me. Then, as I was searching for an alternative probate solicitor, they changed their minds. With the exception of the provision of their (considerable) fee quotation, there was a distinct lack of communication and/or guidance all the way through the probate process. There were inaccuracies with paperwork and, shockingly, attempts were made to close bank accounts (now in my uncle’s sole name), which needed to remain open! I did a lot of legwork I would have expected this firm to do myself. When probate was granted I was not informed and only discovered this by chance 4 months later as no one thought to let me know! GWCA’s only saving grace was reducing their fee to an amount somewhat more proportionate to the actual work they had put in.

Setup Wills and LPAs for my wife and I with GWCA. Very pleased with the meetings and process in general so that the setup was completed to our satisfaction and in a reasonable timescale.

Attended a meeting for new wills & power of attorney’s — told drafts be ready in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks chased it up, told “ready in couple of days”. After 4 weeks told paperwork was ready for review. Another week goes by until final paperwork is completed. End product was good but “staff shortages” was poor reason for extended delay

We were given all the information we needed to do some further research to reach a conclusion on our wills. The service was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

First rate in every respect. 5-Star all the way. I would recommend GWCA Solicitors every time.
