Failure to act in my best interest - avoid

Did not inform me of material adverse information in relation to a property transaction. despite cancelling the transaction shortly, after commencement, they charge me the full fee. I did not resolve or answer all my complaints and did not follow their own complaints procedure. Avoid this phone at all costs.

A representative from WBW Solicitors responded to this review

Dear Mr James , I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with us. It is extremely disappointing to have a transaction that does not complete. As we are not responsible for such failed transactions, if work has been undertaken, we make it clear in our client engagement letter that we will have to charge to cover the cost of this work. Once again, I am sorry that on this occasion your transaction did not complete. Sincerely, WBW Solicitors

Sale of parent's property

I approached WBW to handle the sale of my father's property (who had left to live with family) as they already held his (and my late mother's) will and power of attorney. One of my better decisions. Joanne Hayes and her team dealt with the process and from day one made me feel very comfortable. Aside from dealing with the whole process in a way that gave me great confidence it was so nice to have someone that clearly appreciated the sensitivities of the situation. Too often you can feel like 'just another case' with professionals, so to be treated as an individual with all the additional concerns involved with the sale (including me keeping 4 siblings on side) was refreshing and made the process far less stressful than it could have been. Ultimately I can't recommend highly enough and wouldn't even think of going elsewhere should the need arise.
