I wanted to share my experience of the professional and compassionate service I received from Alex. Divorce is not a situation most people expect to experience but finding someone to put your trust in to navigate the process makes a world of difference. I felt comfortable to share my experience from the outset and felt involved and informed throughout. Rather than being intimated by the process, I felt we had a strong working relationship, and I was expertly guided at every stage in a clear and understandable way. At a very tough time Alex was a huge support and ensured the process wasn’t overwhelming. Contact was punctual and informative, and I always felt comfortable to ask questions. When contact involved both parties, the tone was perfect to ensure we made progress without making the situation more difficult. I had been divorced for a couple of years but never got around to completing the financial consent and. Lean break order. After finally getting to a place where me and my ex partner were amicable, I didn’t want that to be disrupted but needed to get the clean break order in place to protect myself financially for the future. After speaking with a number of solicitors, I felt that Alex really understood how important it was to keep the relationship amicable and also make things as easy as possible for me as the idea of opening up financial discussions with my ex again was also causing me stress. Alex couldn’t have made the process any easier for me. Really pleasant to deal with and always extremely helpful as were Maddie and Carol and all of the staff at Butcher and Barlow. Alex got the order approved at first time of asking and her experience in this field was evident throughout the process. Myself and partner was involved with another firm of solicitors for approximately two years, we had an absolute nightmare with them nothing was moving forward and solicitor involved would not respond to calls or give any updates, and time was of the essence as my partner had alzheimers, so we took the decision to speak to Alex Williams after she was referred to us by a family friend, after speaking to Alex we decided to move everything over to Butcher & Barlow. Alex very kindly agreed to take on a very complex case that had been ongoing for approximately two years, Alex kept us updated every step of the way and had achieved more in first couple of months than that of the other solicitor in two years. Alex was very easy to speak to and very understanding of our circumstances, Alex showed compassion to my partner and would always involve him with any discussion/decisions when we met in person, Alex would always show patience when he wasnt having his best days, I would always get a response to my calls and emails no matter the query and without fail, Alex made our life a little easier when she agreed to take us on as clients. I trusted Alex to do what needed to be done and I could concentrate on looking after my partner, sadly after some time my partner passed from alzheimers, even then Alex came to our home with flowers, card even a big hug and to pass on her condolences, she didn't have to do that but it just shows the type of person she is..... I'm extremely grateful to Alex and all the staff at Butcher & Barlow for everything but most of all for being understanding and patient of Billy's needs. I highly recommend Alex and those at Butcher & Barlow, so much so I am a client again with Philip who is dealing with different matters. I don't think I could use another firm now, especially after all the trouble we had previously.

I was initially with the runcorn branch but due to my solicitor leaving the company I was transferred to the Frodsham branch. Both are about the same travel time so no real issues. Alex Williams took over my case and she was amazing always ready to give me advice be that good or bad. She helped make some difficult decisions easier to swallow by explaining everything in extremely simple terms. If I ever need a solicitor again ( I hope not ) I'll be back!
