Selling my property

I instructed Butcher and Barlow to sell my property and have to say the service they gave me was outstanding. What should of been a simple transaction proved to be really difficult due to the buyers solicitor, this was no reflection on Butcher and Barlow at all, they kept my informed on progress and responded to all of my questions when I asked them. Ella Woodie was my main contact and found her to be polite, helpful and understanding of my frustrations. I will certainly use Butcher and Barlow again for my future purchases and sales.

Excellent Communications

Our contact at Butcher and Barlow was Ella Woodier. Due to the impact of the housing market the sale of our house took a relatively long time. Ella was very supportive throughout this time. Due to medical reasons we had to move before the sale took place but Ella kept us informed of any problems and their solutions. When you are over 250 miles away such support is a big assistance.
We have moved house a number of times and have never had such support and communications.
Normally you are only contacted at the beginning and end of the sale.
We can recommend her and Butcher & Barlow to anyone in need of a solicitor in this area.

Hassle Free Conveyancing

Butcher and Barlow dealt with the legalities regarding the sale of my old house and purchase of my new home. It was quite a convoluted affair involving banks and receivers. We got there in the end, and Butcher and Barlow, and Mathew in particular from the Bramhall office deserve much praise. The service I received was reasonably priced and thoroughly professional, a straight 10/10 from me.

Matthew was amazing!

We found Matthew at Butcher and Barlow to be professional and a clear communicator. I had very little knowledge of what we needed to sort out and Matthew made sure I understood everything. Emails were responded to promptly and Matthew went above and beyond to sort out our move.

Should we be moving in the future, we will be seeking him out again!

I strongly recommend Butcher and Barlow as expert conveyancers. They were prompt, proactive and professional at all times. In particular I was impressed at how efficient they were in securing the searches from the Local Authority at a time when LAs are under severe pressure. I wouldn't hesitate to make use of their services in future.

Following the death of our mother, my sister & I sought the advice of Helen Chadderton from Butcher & Barlow Solicitors, regarding the disposal & settlement of our mother's estate.

Helen explained in very clear detail exactly what would be involved in the whole process. She offered to deal with this enormous task in its entirety, much to our relief!

Over the following few months, Helen & her assistant Ellisa Clark dealt with Banks, Utility Companies and various Government/Council Departments, bringing everything to a successful conclusion shortly after our mothers house was sold.

Helen & Ellisa were always happy to answer any questions that we had; consistently kept us updated on the state of play, and were always compassionate with us. The fees for all of the work that they carried out were more than fair, and I cannot recommend Helen, Ellisa & Butcher & Barlow Solicitors enough.

Many thanks to Helen Chadderton for organising a codicil to our will. She was extremely professional and friendly during the process. The business itself is very approachable and all staff were a credit to Butcher and Barlow.

Helen Chadderton has undertaken completing an IHT400 and Deed of Variation for a complex scenario. Aside from the technical aspects of the work, what made a huge difference at a personal level, was the constant advice and reassurance which was much appreciated at a difficult time. I would definitely recommend Helen and have no doubt we will refer to her in the near future.
