I would like to express my sincere thanks to Laura Knightley (Barrister) and Lauren Whitaker (Solicitor) for the outstanding support and representation they provided during what was an incredibly difficult and stressful period of my life. I was arrested on serious criminal charges, and the case took approximately three years to reach its conclusion, ending in a rightly not guilty verdict. I had never been in trouble with the police before, but found myself wrongfully arrested and charged with five serious offences. All potentially carrying custodial sentences. The duty solicitor worked for BLJ solicitors. She supported me during my police interview and explained to me what steps were likely to follow it. I agreed for BLJ Solicitors to support me through my case. This proved to be a good decision as they took me through magistrates and Crown court hearings successfully. They also prepared my Legal Aid application for me. During this incredibly stressful 16 month period, they were available to speak with on the telephone and secured me a barrister whom I met with in person before my court case. BLJ made this horrendous period of my life much easier to cope with due to the level of support they gave me. I am happy to report that due to the tenacity and concentration of details my solicitors, The CPS decided to drop all charges against me and I was acquitted of all charges. I have no hesitation in recommending this team of solicitors to anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves in a similar position and am very grateful to them.
