Jon is a Partner Solicitor and Head of our Residential Conveyancing Team and is based in the firm’s Redhill office. He is a specialist in residential property matters including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity and landlord and tenant matters. Jon’s background has been in the City and he joined Morr & Co in September 2017 from Charles Russell Speechlys where he had been practicing (including with its predecessor firms) for some 13 years. Jon’s background and expertise has centred around acting for a range of clients including individuals and companies (both onshore and offshore) and lenders in respect of a significant array of residential property matters. Jon’s experience ranges from acting for first time buyers purchasing a freehold house to acting for wealthy offshore individuals purchasing multi-million pound leasehold properties in prime central London. Jon has a particular background in acting for lenders in respect of their secured mortgage lending and also in statutory lease extensions and leasehold enfranchisement, where Jon liaises closely with Morr & Co’s specialist lawyers in this area. Jon’s considerable experience in residential property matters allows him to combine his technical expertise with a commercial and practical awareness to ensure that clients achieve what they really want – not for obstacles to be put down, but to facilitate a risk-managed property transaction in accordance within the required timescale and where the client is always aware of how matters are progressing.

    Very impressive

    This was an incredibly bumpy sale with too many issues to list here. Jonathan negotiated our way through each problem keeping us informed and advised throughout. In spite of what our agent was telling us, Jonathan ensured we came through unscathed. He also managed to keep things moving when other parties seemed determined to make things as slow as possible.

    Excellent Service

    Jonathan Turner was absolutely fantastic when I had to buy a house, which was something I had never done before and he had my back all the time, which was wonderful as it was not the easiest of transactions. Since then Jonathan has acted for one of my sons in the selling and buying of homes, neither of which was straightforward. Efe was very good in dealing with obtaining a Deed of Certificate for me.
