I am an Associate Solicitor in the Family Department here at Redkite. I am based primarily at the Stroud office but do retain close links and work in conjunction with all of the Redkite offices in the Gloucestershire area. I qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and have since that time worked to expand and develop my expertise in all aspects of Family Law. I am a member of Resolution who are a recognised organisation for family law professionals known for their focus on resolving family disputes in the least confrontational, constructive way. I am recognised for my specialism in family law matters by Resolution and am a Resolution Accredited Specialist. I have experience in advising, supporting and assisting clients who are working through a marriage or relationship breakdown. In that instance I can provide specialist legal advice on divorce, financial matters arising from a relationship breakdown and child arrangements. My approach takes account of the likely costs of taking certain steps, versus the likely benefit to be achieved. In my view this is a vital part of my job. I regularly act for parents who are under threat of removal of their children, or having had their children removed, by the Local Authority. I also offer advice to people who are not married but who are living together, who may be in dispute about their children or financial matters. I love the immensely varied nature of my job. I thrive on helping people resolve their problems, which means that I get an enormous sense of satisfaction from my job.
