Excellent representation
Mike Leeman and Jim Smith supported me wholeheartedly through my criminal proceedings. They were both very clear in explaining legal jargon and processes, were available and swift in terms of questions and contact, and presented professionally and knowledgeably. Jim was instrumental in securing the best outcome I could have hoped for in court. The fees charges by the firm are extremely reasonable and transparent. Whilst I’m sure they are as competent in all legal fields they cover, I would highly recommending instructing these partners in particular in criminal law. Thank you for your outstanding service and representation.

BG Review
As we had no experience of any Law firm in Liverpool, we did our research and decided on BLJ and it was exactly the right decision. Initial contact was positive and we were help greatly by Peter throughout the early stages, which fully put our minds at rest. The support from Jim on the day was fantastic and we achieved the best possible outcome, that we could have wished for. The only observation I would make is that we did not understand the process on the actual court day and arrived far too early for the hearing. In summary, the engagement with BLJ, Peter Hamer and Jim Smith was the best we could have possibly wished for and I fully recommend them to anyone

Outstanding Support given to my son LP
The support I received from Jim Smith and his team was outstanding. It wasn't a straight forward case and due to my son's medical condition it was very challenging for all parties. I was able to support my Son throughout the whole process, which really helped especially when I was trying to my Son what happens next. Jim was very supportive to LP and the family as it was very stressful. Jim also went above and beyond by answering my E-mails late at night, always returning my calls as LP put a lot of pressure on us all, always found time meet up with us pre and post the court hearings and had additional reports / support put in place for LP which also really helped.
I want to say a huge Thank you, especially to Jim for staying very patient and very supportive throughout .
I would highly recommend Bell Lamb & Joynson, especially Jim Smith, I wouldn't hesitate in using them again, which I really hope that I don't have to.

Excellent
I won't go into details about my offence but this firm were honestly amazing from the first call onwards. I always felt supported. I worked with Jim Smith and Jeremy Rawson with Jim being the one attending court and both of them went above and beyond to secure me the best possible outcome. Both of them treated me with dignity and respect at all times and they made a stressful experience so much easier.
I couldn't reccomend them enough.

Amazing from start to finish!!!
I appointed Jim to act as my solicitor in a criminal case.
From initial charge until the end of proceedings, he was absolutely fantastic.
No query was ever looked upon as to big or small, Jim would always return my call/email with an answer to my query. Would highly recommend!!

Outstanding representation at court
I was represented at court for a drink driving offence by Jim Smith. We spoke on the phone in the lead up to the court date and met for the first time at court. Jim was clearly well prepared for the case as he knew all the details of offence and also myself. He was truly professional in the court room and I was extremely pleased with how he represented me. The court were more lenient than Jim thought they would be and I put this down to how he presented my case. Thank you Jim.
