Penny Jenner is a Solicitor and works in the Private Client department at WBW Solicitors. She joined the firm in 2021 as part of a merger with Beviss & Beckingsale solicitors, with whom she had worked with since 2017. She is primarily based in the Exeter office. Penny has over 20 years’ experience of dealing with private client legal matters. She specialises in the administration of estates, from simple to more complex estates, including where there are agricultural property or business property relief claims. Her expertise also includes the preparation of Wills, creation of lifetime trusts, lasting powers of attorney, general powers of attorney and Inheritance Tax planning (including deeds of variation and disclaim). Before studying and practising law, she studied English Literature and American Studies at Keele University where she attained an Honours Degree. Subsequently, Penny studied at Exeter University attaining a merit in a diploma in Law and then passed the Legal Practice Course at Exeter University. She qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and worked at two large law firms based in the South West before joining Beviss & Beckingsale Solicitors in 2017. Penny is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Full STEP members, known as TEPs, are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience. She has four children to keep her busy, but when she gets the chance she enjoys a good gallop on a horse! Penny is also quite partial to cold water swimming.
