    Fantastic experience with Ask Legal

    Persevering through Adversity

    I approached ALS Solicitors to help in a simple case of failure to protect my deposit as required by landlords. Little did we know this would turn into an unnecessary complex claim. False claims of "no deposit received", "it was for something else" to accusations of faked agreements and even 'recreated edited agreements' to support the landlords false claim, complicating the simple claim and throwing something straight forward into a new direction of complexity. After the landlords false allegations of property damage, failed counter claim by the landlord and countless delays due to the landlord starting a fresh independent claim we reached Trial 18 months on ! Due to the persistence, tenacity, legal guidance and professional approach by Atif, Director of Ask Legal Solicitors Ltd, and thankfully my claim Solicitor and our attending Barrister Nick, we secured a judgement of the maximum restitution available plus costs in my claim against the landlord in addition to all costs in my defence of the landlords unfounded claim. A Great Result from a Service - Too many landlords try to rip of their tenants despite rules and regulations set but if you ever find yourself in a situation like mine, I absolutely would recommend ALS Ltd, without doubt, concern that they can help you. Professional, honest, integrity and tenacity all provided here ! Thank you Atif - job very well done !!!

    They’re not satisfied with their own agreed fees. After winning the case and recovering 3x the deposit, the solicitor refused to stick to the 25% success fee in the contract. He demanded more and withheld my money. I had to report him to the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA. Be very careful before trusting this firm.

    Your review, which has been duplicated by your partner, fails to state that you refused to follow our advice, and demanded that we accept your opponents low offer which excluded payment of your legal fees. Your claim was not therefore "successful" in full and your opponent did not pay the maximum under the law. You instructed us to undersettle your claim, and accept zero costs. Given you continued to instruct us against our advice, we terminated the CFA, and invoiced you a approx 64% of the total fees you were liable to pay under the terms of the CFA. Given all our other clients follow our advice, we have many many happy clients, as can be seen in our many very positive reviews.

    What started out as a simple deposit claim for a landlord who failed to register into the prescribed bond schemes suddenly became very complex as my former landlord made multiple claims of no deposit paid, fraudulent tenancy agreements, alleged damage. This both emotionally and legally complicated the whole process. Fortunately, Atif stood strong, guided me with straight forward honest advice, no legal jargon just simple plain English. Due to the complexities the landlord had created the process was dragged out for 18+ months. With Atifs guidance, knowledge and persistence we were successful to secure judgement with maximum penalties against the landlord, additionally costs awarded for the false allegations made by the landlord. Whilst recovery is still to be concluded, I highly recommend Ask Legal Solicitors ! If you find yourself in this situation, don't back down, contact ALS 1st and make sure Rogue Landlords don't get away with ripping Tenants off . Thank you Atif !
