I have been trying to complete my will with Simpsons Solicitors who are part of the Right Legal Group. This has been ongoing for nearly 2 years. There are numerous mistakes in the will (including the spelling of my name) and I have called, emailed, complete the online form and submitted responses to their legal portal with no response I am now having to write to them. I will be raising this with their traded body.

They have been dealing with my parents estate, taken nearly 2 years and still not complete. Constant delays, incompetence, missed money, ignored emails. Absolutely do not use this company, they only make a difficult and stressful situation worse.

Total lack of communication,constant spelling mistakes on Power of Attorney and Wills.

Simpsons Solicitors work to a high standard. It is Right Legal in Derby who are the problem. Have to give 1 star or I can't leave a review but they don't deserve any. The way they dealt with my husband's probate was appalling - I sent 3 pages of complaints to the Legal Ombudsman who agreed with me on every point. Even though my experience was a couple of years ago the scars left are still raw and when I heard today an old friend is having the same appalling service, I have to say something and try and stop other people being treated as badly as I was. When I put my original review up I had a phone call from Right Legal ordering me to take it down - obviously I wouldn't, they are a load of bullies.

Nearly 3 weeks into managing my late mother's estate and I have still not received ANY updates from our estate manager. To make matters worse, there are 3 other executors stated on my mother's will, yet they seem totally powerless as this firm are holding all of the cards! To add injury to insult, this firm is charging a fee! I know we may be a small client to them but not replying to any of my 3 emails is very unprofessional and totally unacceptable. I called and spoke with Emily King, chasing her for an update, yet from her lack of response to my request for an update, I'd imagine she hasn't started yet even after promising she would! I have provided you with everything you need thus far, yet you have not come back to me or the other executors. Shocking service so far. My mother would be really upset if she knew we were being treated like this.

Absolutely shocking and incompetent law firm I have ever experienced for over 3 years I have been trying to sort out my parents lasting power of attorney and it's still not finalised I ask for call backs that never happens either they have letters for months from court but hasn't acted on them I wouldn't trust this company with walking my dog

Please under any circumstances DO NOT use this company 3 years on and still waiting for P,O,A to get sorted. They keep coming back after a while asking for more money each time they make a mistake!

Absolutely useless customer service. We attempted to do our wills / power of attorney 1 year ago .. they took our money and we are still waiting. We have sent multiple emails chasing up with no reply. We had multiple phone calls booked in to discuss things and the solicitor didn’t answer and asked to reschedule and then didn’t reply when we suggested a reschedule date. Avoid this company

Very disappointing experience. Based on my experience, I found this firm to be extremely overpriced for what should have been a straightforward and basic service. I waited four months for my Power of Attorney documents and received no meaningful updates or communication during that time. After repeatedly waiting and chasing for progress, I discovered that nothing had even been started. For a firm charging what I consider to be high-end prices, I expected a professional, responsive and efficient service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at all. Four months wasted with no progress is simply unacceptable in my view. I would strongly recommend doing your research and considering other solicitors before using this firm.

Very poor service received from Right probate. Very long periods of time taken to undertake work. Despite promising fortnightly updates when concerns were raised this has never happened. Only updates received have been through chasing. On top of this a mistake was made when issuing funds to beneficiaries resulting in them being contacted to pay back funds. This has been a very depressing experience which is still not resolved.
