Niamh and Lauren were fantastic. We have an issue with the first property we offered however probate was outstanding. After waiting 5 months we decided that we would offer on a new property. To save the sale we needed to completed quickly. Niamh and Lauren did all they could to complete as quick as possible which was very much appreciated. Excellent communication and I would highly recommend.
Our purchase was handled by Niamh and Lauren, and we could not have been happier with the service we received. Everything was dealt with promptly, and we were kept fully informed throughout the transaction. They made the entire process as stress-free as possible and were always on hand to answer any questions we had. Thank you both for your professionalism and support. I had to correct Ruben Lewis on a number of occasions , the basic land value tax calculation sent to me was based on the higher taxation level and not the standard rate resulting in an over estimate of tens of thousands of pounds. Trying to get hold of the solicitor dealing with our affairs proved extremely difficult, the solicitor only worked two days a week in the office and one day from home. constant out of office messages. Errors and omissions commonplace, failure to adhere to instruction a few times, letters sent to wrong address, the list goes on and on, I would not recommend sadly.
I am sorry you feel that you received a poor service and we will reflect upon your feedback. Whilst the fee earner dealing with your sale works part time, her assistant was usually available to deal with queries in a timely manner.

I have always been satisfied with RLO but the conveyancing department definitely needs improving. The service falls way below my expectations .

Over the last 3.5 myself and my brother have sadly lost both of our parents. Sadly due to their lack of forward and future planning we were left with sorting their affairs out. From start to finish tomos carruthers Abbi evans and also Finn touhig have been exceptional. Their kindness, compassion, attention to detail and also their support has been outstanding. As a family what was a very difficult and traumatic experience to endure was made easier by their professional approach to helping. Whatever your legal requirements may be I cannot express how good this firm Really is. Thank you all very much we are as a family appreciated everything you did for us.

I would just like to give my wholehearted thanks to the team at Rubin Lewis O’Brien, who were extremely helpful in getting a matter resolved for me. I turned to them, because the matter involving my late Mother’s estate was at a deadlock and not progressing as it should have. Chris Lewis & Lily Barker managed to get everything set out how it should have been done & within a matter of a few months, after almost 2 years, the estate was finalised. The whole team were there for me right from the start, on hand with any legal queries and support I needed. I could not be more thankful in getting what was a quite stressful time sorted. Tomos Carruthers provided an excellent service throughout the time he was dealing with probate and settling the estate of my late mother. From start to finish, Tom took me through every step of the process, through regular communication and nothing was too much trouble for him. He dealt with everything on my behalf and responded to emails very quickly and on the same day. He made everything so straightforward and I can't thank him (and Sarah) enough for taking all the stress out of a painful situation for me.
I consulted Rubin Lewis O'Brien regarding a potential misrepresentation claim relating to the Misrepresentation Act 1967. Before booking, I briefly explained the nature of my case and was told it was something they could look at. At the meeting, a trainee solicitor was present. She was introduced, but I was not asked whether I was happy for her to remain during the consultation. This did not ultimately concern me, but I believe clients should be asked for their consent, rather than it being assumed. During the consultation, the solicitor said he had not used the Misrepresentation Act 1967 in years and would need to go away and look it up, for which I would be charged. My expectation, when paying for specialist legal advice, was that the solicitor would already be familiar with the relevant area of law or, if not, would advise me at the outset that the matter fell outside their expertise and recommend someone more suitable. I left feeling that the consultation was unproductive and that my concerns were not fully understood. This was my personal experience, and unfortunately, I would not use the firm again for this type of legal matter.
