I can see that you dealt with Susanna, Simone and Leanne. Susanna and Simone had separate roles within the conveyancing transaction, while Leanne was instructed in relation to a connected matter requiring a different area of legal expertise. I appreciate that, from a client’s perspective, having a single point of contact throughout may feel preferable. However, legal work can involve different specialist roles and, in some circumstances, our regulatory obligations also require matters, information and responsibilities to be kept appropriately separate. Those requirements can restrict the extent to which colleagues acting in different capacities can access information or act on another person's behalf. They are important safeguards for our clients, although I appreciate that the practical effect may sometimes feel less joined-up than we would like. I have reviewed the files following your comments. The matters appear to have progressed promptly overall and I have not identified any significant delay. I can, however, see some minor instances where communication could not be confirmed immediately - for example, receipt of a document could not be confirmed until the following working day while the relevant conveyancer was on leave. I am pleased that you were satisfied with the outcome of your matter and would recommend the firm, despite the concerns you have raised.
