It took 6 months from instruction to completion. I wholeheartedly believe that time could've been shortened by 1-2 months had they been more competent.
I recieved multiple single line emails making enquiries in broken English that required multiple follow-ups to get clear questions. Issues were raised and ignored for months until they noticed and held up completion to deal with them. I also recieved multiple phone calls where I was mistaken for another client and only realised when asked questions I'd already answered!
I also ended up receiving several calls from the sellers estate agent as their inquiries to ADK were being totally ignored, causing great embarrassment. Further to this after 5 months of delays I expressed great frustration at being unable to set a completion date, however I did not expect them to take the route of offering a totally fantastical completion date that was not even possible, allowing us to make moving arrangements etc for a date that they knew full well we weren't going to be completing on.
I even made a complaint and was assured someone else would be taking my case but this never occurred. I was transferred directly to the person I had complained about.
Right at the end of the process they still found a way to work one last failing in as they told me the keys were ready for collection when they weren't (estate agent was called directly after and had had no communication at all!). The fact I had to make this call to confirm demonstrates how good a job they did at eroding any and all trust I had in them.
Without wishing to be glib I already feel I've put more effort into this review than was put into my conveyancing. I cannot overstate the stress and difficulty 6 months of dealing with this firm caused, and the only way they could've earned 1 star is if we hadn't completed at all!
