I trusted PCS Legal with the purchase of a buy-to-let property through a modern auction – a time-sensitive process. From day one, their service was disorganised, careless, and negligent.

For over six months, they ignored my emails, lost submitted documents, and passed my case between multiple staff members who had no idea what was going on. I sent critical documents several times – and still, nothing was done. In March, just before the mortgage expiry, they acted like everything was fine, only to ask again for the same documents I had sent months earlier.

Because of their failure to act, my mortgage expired, the transaction collapsed, and I lost over £17,000, including non-refundable auction fees, rent, and contractor delays. I also submitted a legal data request (DSAR), and they didn’t respond within the lawful timeframe.

I have now escalated the matter to the Legal Ombudsman, ICO, and will pursue legal action in court. This firm should not be trusted with anything as important as your property or finances. They are evasive, unaccountable, and treat clients with total disregard.

Avoid PCS Legal at all costs. They have caused me stress, loss, and serious disruption to my family and business.

Horrible experience with PCS legal !!
I would never recommend anyone to do with PCS legal. I recently completed a purchase and sale transactions with them and the whole process was stretched so much by them and not only that, they were extremely difficult to deal with.
They never updated their portal, purposely delayed the case every week by not answering the queries of the other party solicitors.

It was a nightmare and no complain process helps.

I found the legal team to be doing the bare minimum for my house purchase. There was no communication other than to mail me a bunch of documents to look at. I did request a couple of times to get an explainer but I never got response to those mails. Frustrated I decided to cancel my purchase as I wasn't feeling the legal team was working for me. They were just focused on getting the purchase through. I agreed to take them as my legal team as the sales agent suggested the legal team who were already on the case and could speed up the purchase.

1) Stated at Companies House as a Dormant Company yet apparently trading with 3 employees in the year to 31 October 2023 and 31 October 2022 indicates the directors using the Limited Company status as a shield for their partnership business
2) Dreadfully inefficient at processing the simplest of conveyances thus leaving the whole matter in abeyance for over one year
3) Refuses to take instructions to complete the clients requirements

We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Paige O’Brien seems to have a Telephobia a phobia of answering or responding to phone calls
She appears to limited knowledge on aspects of the law and rarely responded to any emails in a timely manner
The lack of communication is astounding and no one appears to give a toss about customer service
Please check the review high % are very negative and we all appear to have similar experiences
note this is an unregulated Solicitor’s who I’d never recommend using
