Gerard was always responsive, thorough and reassuring, and took the time to explain things clearly whenever problems arose. Most importantly, he was proactive in dealing with the many complications and kept pushing things forward when the transaction could easily have stalled. Buying a house is stressful enough at the best of times, and ours was certainly not a straightforward purchase. Having such a reliable and experienced solicitor on our side made an enormous difference, and we genuinely don't think we could have got through the process so smoothly without their help. Poor communication and costly delays – Curwens (Enfield) My property sale fell through post-valuation at week 10 of conveyancing, largely due to an 8-week delay on their end in answering just two basic enquiries from the buyer's solicitor.—enquiries I was able to find answers for by myself in 3 weeks post-collapse. — This unnecessary lag resulted in significant wasted legal fees and holding expenses on my part. Communication was consistently poor throughout. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend sellers opt for a conveyancing team that operates on a true "No Sale, No Fee" basis to ensure their incentives align with actually progressing the sale. Very disappointing experience with Curwens Enfield. EDIT* Curwens' response below claims senior management is "actively reviewing" my file. In reality, at the time of posting my review, their internal complaints procedure was already fully completed and closed after they dismissed my concerns. No further internal investigation was offered until this public review appeared.

Curwens have acted for me on 2 separate occasions recently, both taking from pover previous conveyancers who had messed up the job. John Appleton and his team, particularly Danielle are exceptional: polite, professional, efficient and reliable getting the job down with a hands on approach keeping you informed every step of the way. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends or family.
