    Amazing results !

    Ran into issues with TfL during my second year of uni as I had been caught and admitted to using my mothers Freedom Pass for 90 journeys. I recieved a court date and conviction looked definite but after building a case and looking into mitigating circumstances, Shella managed to negotiate an out of court settlement / warning !

    Do nothing to help just happy to take money!

    I wouldn't bother with these, they don't help very rarely respond unless you send multiple messages. And if your facing criminal charges you got no hope. Well at least that's how they have made me feel. £3000 spent on pre charge engagement just for them to not do anything.

    Absolutely recommend!

    I am so, so grateful for Makwana Solicitors. I cannot describe it. I had a Freedom Pass-related case, and only thanks to them could I save my future. They are absolute professionals in their field - the process from the very beginning was very transparent about what I need to do, what they will do, how the whole case works, and what the potential consequences are. Makwana Solicitors were reassuring and easy to contact, regardless of time of day and day of the week. Just like any legal service, this wasn't cheap, although I do believe they offer one of the best prices (especially for the kind of service they provide). If you are ever in a situation where a prosecution is looming over your head - I would not recommend anyone but them, trust me - they will do everything they can to help you.

    Firstly, I am not one to leave negative reviews because I just don’t think it’s worth the time of day and I usually like to make excuses for people/companies/services. In this instance I am left very upset by this company and feel like they are a scam and people should stay away and not be deceived by all the positive reviews which are less in numbers and probably all family or friends. I had a situation with my employer and unintentional misuse of a D badge for someone I care for during working hours and needed advice desperately ahead of a code of conduct meeting held by my employer. Initially I had a 15 minute consultation with Shela from Makwana Solicitors and she was adamant I must get the right advice and the situation sounds risky and within 5 seconds I was sent the email to pay the £360 initial consultation sign up. On the initial consultation a member of the team who was lovely in nature fair enough but firstly called me 10 minutes late and secondly gave me the very very basic bare minimal advice which I was already given by family and friends and their main line of advice was that my situation requires an “employment solicitor” not a “criminal solicitor.” What’s contradictory is that in my 15 minute consultation had they told me that this sounds like you would be better off speaking to an employment lawyer instead I would not have wasted £360 on them just to hear the same thing. As a woman managing a household 2 kids and a job with several other physical/mental health issues I believe in this scenario I have definitely been scammed. Stay away guys stay far away!! On top, no follow up email nothing but very quick to email across details of an employment lawyer they would like to recommend. Ergh, shudder! Please dont expect them to keep it real with you in their 15 minute consultation. Any way possible to rinse people dry!! They could have easily kept it real and honest and said look you can sign up to us based on your own discretion but your situation sounds like you are much better off speaking to a trade union rep or a an employment solicitor.

    Fare Evasion Case: I was caught using a disabled Freedom Pass by TfL and received a verification letter and a Single Justice Procedure Notice to appear in court. As someone working in financial services, I was extremely stressed because a guilty plea would mean a criminal record and could jeopardize my career. With less than two weeks to my court date, I contacted Makwana Solicitors with little hope. However, once I shared evidence of mitigating circumstances, they quickly prepared a letter of representation and emailed it to TfL on Tuesday, just a week before my hearing. By Thursday (in just 48 hours!), TfL responded and agreed to an out-of-court settlement with a warning instead. I’m incredibly grateful to Makwana Solicitors for their swift action and successful outcome. I highly recommend them to anyone facing a fare evasion charge.

      With the instruction of Makwana solicitor I received a "No further action" decision on a blue badge misuse case just hours after a very quick interview. Athisaya, the solicitor that supported me through my interview, was professional, reassuring and really cared about my case. I'm sure that because of her words, the council officer had made his mind up before the interview even begun.
