I recently used DFA Law for a family matter (probate and estate administration) and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. From the very first call, the team was professional, approachable and clear in explaining everything. My solicitor took the time to understand the full picture, kept me updated regularly, and was realistic about timelines and costs. In what is often a stressful and emotional process, they made it feel manageable and straightforward. The firm has clearly been around for a long time (over 180 years!) but they’re not old-fashioned in their approach — everything was handled efficiently with modern communication (email, phone, and secure portal).I particularly appreciated their straightforward fees and no surprise bills. Would definitely recommend DFA Law to anyone in Northamptonshire needing reliable solicitors for wills, probate, family law, or property matters. Highly recommended.

Slow to get things done. Needed to chase them up repeatedly following a bereavement. Paid the best part of £10k for an estate totaling just over £200k. Not bad work for a few dozen emails, a zoom call and calculations for my parents estate.

The process was not always straightforward, but Mark was professional, efficient and reassuring from start to finish. Communication was excellent — emails and calls were answered promptly, and everything was explained clearly.
