I'm sharing my experience and writing a review for Sabeel Hussein, who represented me at court in Leicester Magistrates on the 10/09/2026. He was absolutely fantastic. My case was in the papers and was quite public. It was the download Ferris wheel incident, 2026. It eventually caught up with me, and I was absolutely terrified that it was going to result in, a lot worse than what it was. Due to Mr Hussein's excellent representation, I believe the result I got was the absolute best outcome that could have been given for that situation. He was incredibly professional. He listened to the ridiculousness of my case and treated me and my support with respect. And in the courtroom, he fought for me and made sure that my defense was as robust as possible. I just want to say thank you.

Dear Penny, I hope you are well. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for everything you have done for me and my children throughout this process. I know that securing accommodation for us required an enormous amount of work, time, dedication, and commitment. You spent countless hours preparing and completing applications, gathering evidence, dealing with requests, communicating with Social Services, the Salvation Army, the council, and all the other professionals involved. I truly appreciate the effort that went into every stage of this case. What touched me most was your commitment and support, especially on Friday. Even though it was your day off, you still took the time to help me and remained involved in my case. Together with your colleague, you stayed in contact with me until around 5:30 pm, doing everything possible to ensure that my children and I would not be left homeless. I will never forget that. During one of the most difficult and stressful periods of my life, you were one of the very few people who made me feel that I was not alone. Knowing that someone was fighting for our rights and supporting us gave me strength and hope when I was feeling overwhelmed and frightened about the future. Thanks to your hard work, dedication, and compassion, my children and I now have a safe place to stay. I genuinely do not know how to put into words how grateful I am to Penelope Baird for the work she has done for me. When Penelope became involved in my case, I was in an extremely difficult situation. I was with my two minor children, without secure accommodation, under constant pressure and facing complete uncertainty, with a very real risk of being left without a roof over our heads. My dispute with Croydon Council had become so complicated that I was no longer able to manage it on my own. From the very beginning, Penelope gave me something I desperately needed at the time — the feeling that my case was finally in the hands of someone who genuinely understood both the law and how serious the situation was for me and my children. What impressed me most was how involved and accessible she was throughout the entire case. At no point did I feel that I had been forgotten or that my case was simply sitting somewhere in a file. At the most important moments, Penelope contacted me herself, asked for updates, explained what needed to be done next, gave me clear and practical instructions, and responded extremely quickly whenever the situation changed. There were times when circumstances were changing literally by the hour, and knowing that I could contact my solicitor and receive clear, practical legal advice gave me an enormous amount of support and reassurance. Her work with Croydon Council also made a very strong impression on me. She did not limit herself to standard letters or general advice. Penelope carefully analysed the legal position, communicated directly with the Council on my behalf, and took the necessary Public Law action. Everything was done quickly, confidently, consistently and with a very clear legal strategy. Most importantly, the matter was resolved before it reached court. Croydon Council reconsidered its position, the decision was changed in my favour, the Council’s housing duty towards me was reinstated, and my two children and I were provided with interim accommodation. What is particularly important to me is that Penelope never treated my case as just another case number. I genuinely felt that she understood what every decision meant for me and my children. Even after the immediate outcome had been achieved, she took the time to explain in detail where my homelessness case now stood, what Croydon Council was required to do next, and what I could expect over the coming weeks. Penelope combines, in a very rare way, an excellent knowledge of Public Law, speed, determination, precision and genuine human compassion. When someone is under enormous stress and has to challenge decisions made by a large public authority, having a solicitor who truly fights for their interests can make a real difference to both the process and the final outcome. I feel incredibly fortunate that Penelope was the solicitor handling my case. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone who needs serious legal assistance in Public Law or in a dispute with a local authority. She is exactly the kind of solicitor you want on your side when the situation is urgent and the outcome genuinely matters. Penelope, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for me and my children. The result of your work has genuinely changed our situation, and I will never forget it.

Simply awful, missed appointments, promises made not followed through on, and at every stage i had to chaser them to get them to do even basic work. Really, use someone else. They were unprofessional and actively harmful to my case.

I cannot thank Bhatia Best Solicitors enough, particularly Scott Laing and Stacey Mole, for the outstanding service they provided. From the outset they dealt with my case promptly, professionally and with genuine care. Communication was exceptional throughout. I was kept fully informed at every stage, emails were answered quickly, and everything was explained clearly and patiently, which was especially important to me as a vulnerable client with significant anxiety. Scott's work on my case was thorough, well prepared and resulted in a significant outcome, with the PPCS agreeing to refer my case back to the Board for a fresh review. I always felt that my concerns had been listened to and presented properly. Stacey was outstanding. She was approachable, compassionate and exceptionally efficient, ensuring I always knew what was happening and taking the time to explain matters in a way that reduced unnecessary worry. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue one aspect of my legal challenge because the Legal Aid Agency required a capital contribution that I simply could not afford. Having many Solicitors in the past, who soon become less attentive to my needs, after securing their legal aid funding, and certainly not working in my best interests. I was amazed to discover this firm, and fully delighted with the results and efforts, Mr Neil O'sullivan; he acted up and beyond my expectations, he has excellent communication skills, with both myself and conveying my case to the CPS and the court, furnishing both with clarity on the circumstances orbiting the fact.
