Dear Evelyn, We are sorry to read your review and disappointed that any concerns were not raised with us directly before you posted your comments. We always encourage clients to speak with us so we can address matters promptly and constructively. Your initial client care letter set out the expected timescales, the fee structure, and an estimate for completion. It also explained that we would update you when we had new information or once the court had responded. You contacted the office on a frequent basis for updates, but at those points there was no further information available because the court was operating within its stated timeframe. As confirmed in your client care letter, all calls and emails are chargeable and this fee structure applied throughout. There were early delays caused by the file being closed at your request and then restarted several months later. Further delays arose because information was outstanding from your brother and the medical centre. These issues were outside our control. There was an administrative error in the final document issued by the court which included an incorrect digit in your address. This was corrected by the court within four weeks and did not result in any additional charges. Your matter was progressed as quickly as possible by our team. Unfortunately, external factors extended the overall duration of the case. We appreciate that delays are frustrating and we remain committed to supporting clients through processes that often rely on third party agencies and courts.
