“On learning I was being taken to court after my daughters father had cancelled mediation because he wasn't getting the outcome he wanted made me feel anxious, stressed and very upset. I met with Jackie who put it all into perspective and helped me understand that I hadn't done anything wrong and the situation was difficult. I explained that the request of additional time wasn't something my daughter wanted and that I was there for her. My daughters father moved the goal posts multiple time during the hearing and was very difficult to deal with. “So just thought to leave a review, a bit late (2 years to be precise) but couldn't recommend a better family solicitors. I won custody of my son 2 years or so ago with the help of Kerry and her team. “I contacted Nelson’s on the recommendation of another client and was allocated Melanie Brigden. After the initial consultation I was more than confident that Melanie and of course Melanie 2 could handle this somewhat difficult case! Initially I went with a child arrangement order which both parents objected to but Melanie soon dealt with their objections and the order was given … I went for an SGO order as well and although it’s wasn’t granted didn’t feel it was anything to do with the lack of attention to detail by Melanie her hands were tied by social worker recommendation. This still didn’t stop Melanie pushing in court for the best outcome possible on the day .. I am totally happy my granddaughter gets to grow up in a safe , loving and stable future. I would recommend the two Melanie’s and employ them again in a minute . ”
