Malini Domah

Tagged solicitor Malini Domah

I contacted National Legal Service at a time when I felt unsupported and alone, following a very difficult experience with another solicitor. From the very first phone call, I felt listened to, understood, and supported. I was introduced to supervising solicitor Malini Domah, who showed genuine empathy and compassion from the outset. She immediately took my case seriously and supported me every step of the way. Her dedication was incredible — she fought tirelessly for me, even giving up her weekends and time during annual leave to ensure I was supported. Although we never met in person due to distance, she was always there at the end of the phone when I needed her most. Her commitment went above and beyond anything I could have expected. I would also like to thank Tia Pavett and the whole team at National Legal Service. Without their support, I truly believe I may have lost my son. I will never be able to thank them enough. From the bottom of my heart — thank you. Vicky Mason

She was extremely professional throughout - offering me calm and clear guidance on all aspects of my case and keeping me updated on progress and next steps. Very happy with the final outcome, and how Talia got me to that point

Leah Knight

Tagged solicitor Leah Knight

My husband and I are citizens of the United States. We needed the services of a firm that would specialize in family law because we were being denied reasonable access to our grandchild who lives in the U.K with her parents. There had been a breakdown in communication between the adults over a money matter and and the parents of our grandchild were keeping us from having regular visits; most of them being through Skype because of the geographic distance between us. We tried in vain for several months to work this out with the parents directilhy but they were determined to keep our contact with our grandchild to the bare minimum and we were devastated by this because we love our grandchild beyond measure. We began to interview family law firms when we realized we were going to have to have help to resolve the matter. After speaking with a couple of firms we were feeling a bit discouraged until we found Fiona Bruce Solicitors. To say the were a send to us would be an understatement. Throughout the whole process they were professional, understanding and compassionate. Our case was handled expertly by Solicitor Leah Knight. We were well aware that in the U.K. grandparents rights are not held in the same regard as they are in the United States and so we were unsure that we would even have our case heard by the court. However, Ms. Knight helped us forge ahead with thoughtful representation at every turn. She guided us through the process and always made us feel comfortable; explaining matters, answering our many questions and, at times she did some hand holding (even if it was over Skype). It was difficult and painful for us to bring our matter to court but we knew we had to do this in order to have our visiting and communication restored with our grandchild, who is at a very tender young age. Ms. Knight never waivered in her representation for us. She honored our time and was always prompt in her responses to our questions. She knew how difficult this was for us but she gave us the confidence to keep moving forward. We got through the process and were elated when the court ruled in our favor. Afterwards we said to ourselves, "If this is the kind of representation Leah Knight gives grandparents from the United States, imagine how she and her firm would be working for clients within the U.K.!" We will be forever grateful to Ms. Knight- and to the whole team at Fiona Bruce and we recommend them to anyone seeking counsel in a matter of family law.

Imogen Peddle

Tagged solicitor Imogen Peddle

From the first moment I contacted them to the end of my child custody case they have been amazing. Imogen has supported me all the way through and I would never have got through this without her. I came from a domestically abusive relationship and she has been kind, gentle and firm with me all the way through making sure we get everything right for the process whilst supporting me. I could not recommend them enough. Anna was also incredible when Imogen was on leave. Highly recommend.
